Pretty sure the reason for Penny’s Pursuit being so much harder for you (even with Premium Plants) are because your plants are so low levelled, the Zombies seem to be around level 11! So maybe it would feel like a regular level if your other plants were level 11 as well!

Fun fact/pro tip: the arena mode is the place where the new plants are released and if you play enough times(grinding), you can even get a free plant such as the Tomb Tangler (this month's new plant. The plant changes each month and you can see what the next plants will be in the end of the plant selection screen) Also: July's plant is always a peashooter (this year we got the mega-gatling) and December is always an ice plant Penny's pursuit is a mode that gives you an opportunity to get an OLD seed packet plant such as zoybean pod for free

Hey Matt, in penny's pursuit the difficulty changes the zombie's level, making them tougher and eat plants faster. To counteract this you need to upgrade plants to higher levels so they deal and take more damage. With high difficulties, it was good call on plants that instakill like Chomper. Toadstool is also a good pick because it has a longer range and produces sun.

Its important to understand the concept of buffs and bruises. Plants under the class with a green arrow next to them will do much more damage than usual. Those are the kinds of plants you should use. Otherwise, calipower is a really good choice. Its also good to obtain more mints. Bombardmint is the best one imo since it causes 3 explosions at lvl 1

It’s not just damage that is affected. Recharge, health, damage, and other things can be buffed or nerfed as well

The way that it works in arena is that the faster you kill zombies, the more points you get You have infinite lawnmowers and cannot die, since that isn’t what the battle is about. Also, what you said about how technically, they can also get the Gatling pea, *but you’re in the wood league, so it doesn’t apply* Edit: also, the zombies will become progressively op over the round, which is why things usually fall apart at the end

Here are some tips for PvZ2 The red stinger is surprisingly one of the strongest single hitter plants in the game (this doesn't include premium plants) as long as you put them in the first 3 rows. The snap and cold snap dragon are very strong because they can hit almost every single zombie in the game, so if your struggling with zombies that stop certain projectiles use these plants. if your struggling with zombies the almanac tells you the zombies weakness making it easier to counter them Twin sunflower is very underrated its a little expensive so its slow at the start, but once you get 5 of them you'll make a ton of sun, so I recommend using it until you get primal sunflower. This game amps up about halfway through the dark ages so your not gonna struggle that much, but later you might struggle although you did buy all the premium plants so I guess we will have to wait and see. Also I would recommend just doing the story in order because later on you get plants that just outclass other plants that might just destroy the earlier worlds before you were supposed to get it. Also premium plants are just straight up op. Fun fact: Originally lost city and frostbite caves were introduced later as higher difficulty worlds. Far future and dark ages came right after wild west, so that's why your frostbite cave plants are farther down than the rest.

@@scp1746 not really tbh, dusk and shadow shroom are the only ones who are "good". SS is so so but it has a good plant food, dusk has the problem with catapulting attacks, i.e it can miss fast targets and has a longer projectile speed when attacking zombies near it, plus it has slow recharge

Quick note in arena, a lot of wins can come down to premiums, but more often than not, it’s about strategy. Choosing if you want to keep a bruised type plant, what combos are supported, all of these are factors that you can use without spending five dollars on a yeti snapdragon.

Yeah that's true. Sometimes you don't even want or need an actual defense formation. Just use the right combo on the right time is mostly gonna outperform your counterpart by miles.

A good way to do penny’s pursuit in the hardest difficulty is to stall. I recommend using chard guard with aloe behind and using Insta kill plants like primal potato mine to destroy large groups.

Chomping plants like chomper, toadstool and snappea are egood in Penny's pursuit. But there is a better strategy if you get caulipower and have imitater imitate it, get the insta plant food guy and sun bloom, fill the other slots with instant use plants and also infi-nut, infi-nut just regenerates itself over time after it was " eaten " and can't die unless if it's crushed

Hey Matt, plant food does work on lava guava and it’s pretty decent, the plant food effect basically makes it like you just filled the row with spike weeds that will disappear in a small while, basically that. Hope it helps!
