The one with the cat food means that ponos doesn't care if you hack in units directly, but if you hack in any amount of cat food you will most likely get banned. Also the popup about the save data being used elsewhere might be because your inquiry code got leaked. But sometimes it just happens randomly and more commonly after transferring your account. Edit: the reason why that hacking video wasn't taken down is probably because the hacked 999999 cat food will get your account banned after a few days after spending some anyway, so it doesn't really hurt ponos that much

I also cannot get into my account that i spent years working on. Battle Cats has always been a extremely fun game for me because there is no forseeable ending. I can keep playing with new levels, and units. Ive worked super hard on my account, spent money, and have spent entire days playing it. Most of my cats were level 40, +25 with various helpful talents on them. I had almost all the cats in the game, except for a few ubers and legends. I never cheated once and still dont know quite how because i did not want to risk my account. But recently I was banned for an unknown reason. I cried my eyes out in absolute despair. It says that my account is in direct violation of ponos terms of use and i cannot access it anymore. I have no idea what I did, they never elaborated on that. Ive emailed them but my email was declined saying that the ban was justifiable. At this point i think there is no hope left formy account, so I am just going to re watch all your battle cats videos. Im resigning from the battle cats community.

I believe the reason they'd go after mods is because they're taking the game's actual code, modding it, and then redistributing it. The modding itself isn't the problem, it's the distribution of their game's code. If you're "hacking" the game, I assume you're using an external program to modify the game that you already downloaded legitimately. As for fan games, the creators would be remaking the game from scratch, not using Battle Cats' code.

So basically Matt, I think that mods are modifications to the game itself, so you're still technically playing battle cats, whereas fan games are standalone things. That's why ponos are cracking down on mods, since they're editing the original game without permission, which could lead to unfair advantages and such. IMO I think Kam Cat (or someone else maybe) should make battle dogs a standalone game so ponos might be a bit more leniant.

The cheat that the top post is referring to is editing the games data to give all units instantly or giving catfood (the reason it doesn’t work on most other games is because on battle cats the data is stored in the device but for most other games the data is stored on servers)

their talking about how the saving system now does everything it can to stop cat food hacking. basically relatively recently the game when from a bit of cat food hacking detection (just a limit that banned you if you when over it. the limit got changed a few times but it didn't really help) to all of the cat food hacking detection. it's to the point that modding the game is about as hard as editing your cat food without getting banned. also by cheats here, they mean using tools like editor en (which doesn't work anymore) and some other direct save editors that need you to extract your save file to your pc, and the tool just edits the file directly.

The difference between mods and fangames, is that mods take already existing assets and code from the game and changing it but you requiere the base game to play it, while fangames are usually are made from scratch with a new engine or an already existing one, and doesn't requiere any game to play

ponos will allow bcu because it is still more legit than battle dogs. in bcu you can play as the enemy, adjust the levels of any units play as any units and make custom stages with any units. i would highly reccomend you check it out.
