Knee pads Lizzy.. train your self to wear them now while your still young. . And trust me you will alter the course of your life when your older.. only take a few months of damage to last a life time. Plus it happens without you knowing. . Knee pads will save your health time and money. For when your older. You may not think it now...but wearing knees pads could allow you to work on what you love doing , at least by 10 years or more than you ordinarily would have without them being part of your work attire.. Always ! Wear them even if you don't like the look people may make comments, but you will have a better quality of life over all of them. .. Plus you can slide on knee pads. Making you more effective and efficient... trust me im a 20 plus year mechanic in my field here in NYC.. . Yes I took the time to explain fact. You're welcome.

How do you weld without gloves? Every time I do I get terrible sunburn like I sat in the 🌞☀ for hours.
@09ddtt3 жыл бұрын
A little 1st degree burn never hurt anyone 😆
@CanadaBud233 жыл бұрын
It depends on some people. My sister when she does hers she gets it on her forearms so she has a jacket cause the gloves she gets are a little short. It's easier than a sweater cause it's hot where she works. I usually go for days on end before I get something unprotected. I've welded manifolds in the sun and I hardly ever get a tan. I found out my cheeks can get burned but it takes like a day or two of welding to get that so I don't worry about it. I wear a helmet more than enough where it never happens anymore I just got it because the helmet was screwed and I had just a glass at the time before getting another one. Other than that, I never feel it. Buddy of mine had a welding job and unless he's wearing a juggernaut suit he's getting burnt no matter what lol.

Seriously consider covering your arms whenever you are welding. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure down the road.

They need to throw in a shot of the MorrVair pulling that semi out on the first try. That never would have happened like that with a tow strap.

Rewatching some of the older videos. I had forgotten about Lizzy's uncle Adam, although I remembered that Matt used to be an owner of Skyline Roofing. I was amused to see that Matt forgot to change the spark plugs, as he only recently did so! As fun to watch a second or third time as it was the first!👍

Matt, I love how your Daughter ( I'm guessing she's your Daughter! ) takes an interest in helping you on your projects and also wants to learn how the Towing Company works and how to tow vehicle, It's great that she's not afraid to get her hands dirty or to break a finger nail like most Teenagers nowadays LoL ( IDK how old she is, so I'm just guessing she's a Teenager! )... My Daughter just turned 16 and I've been telling her that I'm not going to just buy her a car that she can just jump right into and take off in, Only reason I don't want to do that is bc I want her to have to work on it, I want to be able to teach her how to work on her own car, How to change her own Oil, Transmission Fluid and any other Fluids, Also like how to change the Brakes, How to do a Tune-Up on an Engine, I want to teach her to be self-reliant when it comes to working on her own vehicle, Bc also not only will she know how to work on it, But she'll also respect the vehicle more too knowing what it takes to fix it if she breaks it lol...

Lizzie: I’ve been certified since 1973 the only thing I can advise you is to keep you nozzel closer to your weld . Keep it about 3/4 inch away from your weld you got great heat going. Welding should sound like bacon cooking your very close to it. Keep your nozzle close. you go girl. You have the fine making of a welder.
