Jason here! What a night! My wife and kids and I ate like royalty. We had a 5 course meal while in our jeep. We sang songs and listened to an entire audio book - The Box Car Children audio series. We had no idea those crazy cats in the yellow banana were rationing supplies. We had leftovers tho spare. Also, not pictured is our 18 month toddler who was a trooper the entire time. Our 5 year old never was convinced that Ed is "The Real Ed". Ed is the real deal through and through. Randy did an amazing job capturing the events of the night with his camera. Trevor is a long time friend of Matt's. They go way back. Old friends for life for sure! I have a 2000 XJ Cherokee classic with a 4.5 inch lift and 33 inch tires. It's permanently locked up front and rear with 4.88s gearing. Yes it tops out at about 45mph but is a fantastic rock crawler for these parts. My daughter who drew the picture wants to be a professional artist. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll pass it on to her. My wife is an amazing explorer and wondered why we went the long way the whole time! Ha! Gents - listen to your wives! She read all the signs! It was a great April fools joke to go the long way! A night to remember for sure! After we got back to the yard I realized I gave my wife the keys to drive the Jeep home tell Randy had to give me a ride to my house and then all the way back to the yard. It extended the adventure by another hour and a half. I'm honored to be part of this amazing crew moving forward! (Consulting) www.screenpromote.com #stoutsareout #jeep #xj The more I watch this episode the more I pick out each time. It's replete with all sorts of story lines! Enjoy! @@pnwRC. You hit that right on the nail head... "Reality" TV! I watched part of a show, with my dad, on Homesteading in Alaska. They had a tractor with a backhoe on it, a Bobcat, and 4-wheel ATVs running all over the place. My dad loudly stated, "That's just BS!!!!!!" We homesteaded 160 acres in Alaska, the late 1940s thru the late 1950s, until the Army transferred us back to the 'States. Alaska was till a Territory then. With an old surplus Army 6X6 truck and a couple of axes, my parents and a neighbor (5 miles away) cleared enough to prove up on the claim. There were NO TV crews in sight!!

I am constantly amazed at how Matt is able to tow a trailer up a road that barely qualifies as a goat trail. Matt's driving skills are unmatched by any driver that I ever met. I am postulating that the Can-Am hit a rock and broke a possibly Dry ball joint (Lack of lube), this allowed the steering knuckle to rotate precipitating total suspension failure. It is great to see your friends, cameramen, family ride along and watching the dogs run is always a pleasure. Great content, thanks for sharing with people around the planet.

Matt, you should modify your trailer (I'm sure you've heard that 1000 times) to include a 3rd ramp. I think you have room for it, and it would allow you to use one under each wheel and the 3rd under whatever the lowest body/suspension part is. Would also allow flexibility when you really need to switch from one spot to another halfway through loading. Just an idea... Great videos and I really enjoy watching.

Never be without Baling wire and Duck tape. It amazes me you ever find these wrecks.

John McCaughan it’s like the saying “if it can’t be fixed with cable ties or duck tape your obviously not using enough”.

@@tompenman7070 I saw a buddy's trail fix for a snapped tie rod. Held together with exactly that cables ties and duct tape. Got the rig home on its own power even if limping.

Yes, that's all well and good, but it needs to include a drunk, someone needing to take a tamale shit and somebody chasing after a woman. This adventure had none of those things. Such is life, post C-19.

Those cute kids 50 years from now.."I remember going on adventures with Uncle Matt's towing business. That's when there was things called Cars, and they actually had wheels that roll on the ground, although sometimes the wheels would come off, so Uncle Matt would "Get a Call"...😁👍

Gas and drinks/food in the rig you rescued. I saw a can and cooler on the back. I would come out from Nevada with tents and supplies, rent a Helo, maybe a bush plane and drop a rescue package!!!! Bob
