Yeah and even if something breaks or fails, there's a 99% chance that it's easily fixable all by yourself in the middle of nowhere. That's why people who do these adventure trips and around the world trips mostly ride Hondas, Suzukis and Yamahas.

You had this former '78 GW rider with "it has knobbies." I tipped mine over once while at my rural mailbox, I had a full 10 gallon propane tank, a 50 pound bag of dog food, and a couples weeks worth of groceries on it. Just as I realized I could NOT pick the sucker back up, a good old boy stopped and gave me a hand, all he said was "you ever think about buying a pickup?" Check out the Gravelly Range road ride sometime, from Ennis to the Centineantal Valley in Idaho, it's awesome.

It shows what is really important to people. Sheriff got new radios, girls volleyball team is going to state, Eagle Scout project beautifies the town park. Real down to earth stuff.

I bought a beautiful looking 98 Wing for 1k bc of your channel. It was a non runner but after rebuilding the carbs, brake master cylinders, and learning the learning curve to disassemble the insane amount of body plastic, i'm just about to get riding, lol

Nicely done! I've ridden this, much of the IDBDR, on an Africa Twin that was too bloody heavy for me to pick up because it falls flat. The GW doesn't fall flat (most of the time), somewhat like the BMW R1250GS....but I love that you did this double up and Patagonia "dirt bag" style. Kudos man!

Blackberries!!! I was on the coast of Oregon with my travel trailer and saw a flea market but the entry was too small for my trailer. Went a liile further and found a place to turn around and stop. Biggest, sweetest blackberries I have ever eaten. Ate our fill and picked enough for muffins, pancakes and just eating.

Tough bike, can’t believe that suspension didn’t just fold and give up! You are obviously a super experienced rider! the northern rockies are probably the best mountain terrain you can find. it's varied, stunning, rugged, but also accessible. my old man lives near yellowstone, just off of Togwotee pass on highway 26 in wyoming. prettiest place ive ever been!
