I came to Singapore almost a month ago and I have started loving this place so much now. People who come here as a tourist appreciate the attractions here and go! but when you actually live here as a commuter and experience Singapore from the core is when you realize how good the people are here, it has a beautifully and thoughtfully crafted infrastructure. The concept of food courts is so amazing, you get a healthy and tasty meal for around 5 SGD. Most importantly the crime rate is almost zero and people are so peaceful. LOVE SINGAPORE.

The 'Singapore Flyer' is a ferris wheel on the far side of the Sheares Bridge at Raffles Avenue. It is frequently criticized and is expensive. There are heaps of other options for views and vantage points of Singapore. If you're staying in a highrise hotel (and there's _lots_ of them in Singapore) you'll probably get just as good a view from your window as you would from the Flyer. Other ideal spots for views and filming/photography are the Jubilee Bridge, the Benjamin Sheares Bridge and the rooftop of the Marina Bay Sands. A walk across the Jubilee Bridge, which runs alongside Esplanade Drive near the Merlion statue, Is a bucket-list must-do... and, yes, it often rains heavily in the afternoon in Singapore.

I've been watching a lot of travel videos of Singapore because my stepson is working there right now, and we'll be visiting soon. I've actually been there on stopovers a few times, but this year is the first time I'll be spending more than 1/2 a day. Anyway, I have to agree with the other commenters. +Matt's Travel Tips ! Love your style sir! I live 5 hours south in Perth, Western Australia and have to say that Singapore is my home away from home. You missed my favourite Hawkers centre... The East Coast Lagoon Food Village... adjacent to the ECP: South of the East end of Marine Parade. Further the one other food that you must try is CKT Char kway teow, literally "stir-fried ricecake strips". Bloody magnificent food. Thanks for a great video and I'll finish up saying you are right. Singapore (Lion City) is Effing hot and you will sweat like a sauna if outside. Keep up the great work mate!

I am so glad I get to visit this amazing country! Everything about Singapore screams wow in the best way possible. Last summer, I flew to Singapore for 1 week and 4 days and I stayed at my relatives' house. I really enjoyed their famous attractions such as Gardens by the bay and Sentosa Island. I loved the food that they serve such as laksa. The people there are very friendly. It is very easy to travel thanks to the MRT station. Best of all, I get to see Twice's concert which is easily the greatest day I have ever had in 20 years of my whole life.

WOW! This is my second (business trip) to Singapore and your recommendations are fabulous - especially enjoy the food focus because that is what I am all about. Thanks much for detailing in the comments. It IS hot, and humid but air conditioned coolness is always nearby. Public transportation is efficient, frequent and not costly at all. New for you, Matt - Jewel Changi airport - I thought it was an art exhibit and I was so wrong - it appears to be its own city within a city. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Singapore to watch this. My flight was 25 hours. From Atlanta. Airfares not too costly, either.

Awesome video Matt! I am on my first visit to Singapore and your tips are spot on! So far I've done the Gardens By The Bay (you are totally right about it....AMAZING!!!!), the Marina Bay Sands Sky Park (the bar up there is AWESOME) and the mall...you are totally right about the Singapore Sling...meh and too expensive! The Botanical Gardens and the Food Centres are next! Great advice and sooo appreciated!

As a Singaporean I am very impressed with this video that you've made! It's extremely well presented and I just love your emphasis on the hawker food in Singapore. I traveled a lot myself and no where in the world can i find cheap and GOOD food like the hawker in Singapore. Other places that I humbly recommend are 1. Southern Ridges (It's FREE and has an amazing view of the southern part of Singapore) 2. ArtScience Museum (There's always some interesting exhibitions) 3. National Gallery (For people who love art) 4. Bukit Timah (Hawker center & cafes) =)
