On the 18 MZ in the functions, you need to set combine or single for the different conditions. And that would be a ailron elevator and Rudder

Thanks for this Matt, I've wanted to do something similar, I fly 3 position rates on rudder, elevator aileron, on some models like a 3d one, I like the flexibility to change rates as I feel the need but I would like a condition switch to hit that switches every rate to low regardless of what rates I'm on. ie for landing or dead stick? I can't work out how

Thanks for the feedback. Make the first condition your default, which includes all your rates. Copy that condition to a “Landing” condition. On your Landing condition disable all the dual rates. Go to AFR and dial down all your movements. That should give you what you need.

@@MattTakharRC Hi At 12:37 you pressed "Exit". Pressing Exit may not store the new setting. Try pressing "Hardware select" to return to the previous screen and see if this correctly saves the new setting. I cant remember where this was mentioned. It may have been in Malcolm Holt's book on the 16SZ.

I see what you mean now. On the T26 they have changed the software. Now pressing the switch on that screen automatically changes the settings for you. The T18SZ and T16IZ don’t have this behaviour. It’s actually really useful. On the previous screen when you want to assign a switch you can just flick one and it will automatically select whatever you flicked on. Very useful, just caught me out as I’m still swapping between TXs.

The behavior you're seeing with adding conditions is documented in the manual, it appears to be intentional. The first condition in the list is copied. See page 125. Of course it's debatable whether or not this is preferable to any other predetermined default, but I think it's ok.

Thanks for pointing that out. It does make sense that it automatically copies the original condition in slot 1. I’ve just never noticed it before on other Futaba TXs 👍🏽
