What I've realized is everything isn't about love, there's commitment, and then there is partnership. You won't always feel goosebumps, and that's OK. In some situation's feelings, have little to do with our commitments.

My partner's a rude arsehole when he's tired and stressed. And so am I. I tell him to fuck off out of my sight now. Win-win. Love is not glamorous. It's grim at times. Japanese couples sleep apart. I think that's genius.
