OK it’s hard to tell but I think in the end this was supposed to be Matt. However, even though the costume department got it dang near perfect, The writing department fell short and here’s why. every time the writers had to do research into Matt‘s character they kept red pilling themselves by accident. So because Hallmark kept losing all the writers they had to tell the 27th writer to just make s*t up! That’s my theory atleast.

It seems that everyone here is really stretching things to try to paint this scene as part of a war between left and right. But it's clear that Hallmark went out of their way to pick character traits that were apolitical, presumably so as not to alienate half their potential viewers. Being scared of germs is not political. Being obsessively concerned about health is not political. Thinking the Earth is flat is not political. If they were genuinely trying to make this a political thing, they would have picked a completely different set of characteristics: a particular view on taxes, or guns, or drugs, or something like that. But it seems that no matter how far a company goes to make something apolitical, people are always going to try to read something into it that isn't there.

Most of the movies are about woman has job and is either, single, workaholic, recently single, lost her holiday spirit, has holiday sprit, no children(about 90% of the time), really happy go lucky, usually a mixed of several of the above. She goes back to her home town and finds the true meaning of happiness and a man. As always with these stories guy grows on girl until the start of the third act where there is a misunderstanding of some sort where the woman breaks it off after being overly dramatic to have the misunderstanding resolved in about 20 minutes after family and/or friend intervention then happy ending with everyone together where there may or not be a time skip to show her now happy life. Many of these movies also take part around Christmas.
