The display is probably the coolest party of the laptop It's actually variable refresh rate. You see on OLED panels where there is no backlight to make brightness uniform for the pixels at different refresh rate because the lower the refresh rate, the longer the pixel remains on seeming brighter and the way colour works is weird on difference brightness levels. What all devices with variable refresh rates and OLED panels did uptill now is that the manufacturer would precalculate an entire table for the r g and b pixels for all the refresh rates and the device would just use it like a look up table. But this did mean that they would only have set refresh rates so 144, 120, 75, 60 and so on. But for this laptop, Asus put in a ton of effort to figure out a method to get actual variable refresh rate. This means that it refreshes EXACTLY in sync with the media being viewed plus the scaling down and scaling up of the refresh rate is much, much smoother. Pretty cool stuff ngl

You need to first determine a budget for how much you want to spend. If you’re looking to spend $700-$850 then you’ll be looking at potentially buying some current gen hardware as getting something older would be on dead platforms at this point. An AMD Ryzen 5 7600 would definitely be a great CPU for that price point. Then a GPU from anything from an RX 7600, RX 6650XT, RX 6700, RX 6700XT, or RTX 4060 would be good options for that price point as well. If you’re on a tighter budget then buying older parts or maybe getting something used aren’t bad options. It all depends on your budget, hope this helps😁

I also have the Zephyrus G16 but I have the one that has a 4080 and 1 terabyte SSD, which is the only difference between mine and his. It also comes in at a price of $2700. And like most of these comments said, the only problems with my laptop, is that it is loud when you play games and it is very hot when you play games. Not playing games, I can definitely say that there is no problems. So I would recommend getting a laptop cooler.
