This instantly reminded me of Struth Gaming's video about mouse grip rotation compensation, a method of using the Rawaccel programme to compensate for the unwanted rotation that is introduced by certain grip styles in order to be able to draw straight lines without having to aim unnaturally. Here's his video about the topic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6S3lKltbpd3eKMsi=hZsNkrloQRfF6ak4 This could also be worth checking, if you do, please let me know.
@AVPancientPredator5 ай бұрын
He also made a video for the kovaak's channel about this, yeah. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWStn51mqqZ9e7c So ppl like hizku or matty are likely holding their mice at a slight angle to the left, turned inwards, meaning they could make their lines more naturally straight if they used a negative axis offset of a few degrees. I've personally been using -5 degrees for a while now.
@jakeufps5 ай бұрын
@@AVPancientPredator That's even the video I had in mind! No wonder I couldn't find this one when looking for Struth Gaming. Thanks for your reply! And yes, that's what I'm thinking of as well, would love to see them trying this out.
@TheRodoeht5 ай бұрын
Yes I have been using rawAccel for this for a very long time because I hold my mouse at a very strong angle. I wish this would get more popular so we might some day get a rotation offset as a standard setting inside mice. I believe there are already mice which can do that.

Another reason this works is that if you move your crosshair at a constant speed, your horizontal vector is actually going to slow down the further you are from a neutral wrist position. This will feel like your sensitivity is being slowly reduced, making over-flicking less likely and because everything is stable from avoiding to use your fingers or arm to keep your crosshair at eye level, aim is bound to be more stable.
@gamist81665 ай бұрын
Diagonalmaxxing might actually be useful for beam heroes or other tracking situations without headshots, maybe mauga? Just rare youd wanna abandon double damage opportunity on soldier unless it's when theyre one

For a very long time I only played static and as soon as I started to touch tracking I only played “ground” scenarios. I didn't expect that this was a high-level technique. I just thought it would be easier for me this way

So I tried drawing the lines in paint out of curiosity and while my first one was maybe 10-15 degrees off from being horizontal, I naturally adjusted without thinking about it and had a flat horizontal line by the 3rd one lol

love how you break down techniques. I'll give it a shot next time i train reactive. could you make a updated video about aimlabs and kovaals themes and maybe include how to build a working theme? i always run into weird things like for xyz scenario the sky merges with the target and it's so annoying to change it to match every scenario

So curious on this as well. I asked viscose the same question which pretty much got no answer saying she had a friend try it and it made the arm part of aiming feel disconnected but I have played with it and it feels natural to me butit wasn’t at first. She mostly just said he hasn’t tried it and can’t give first hand advice.
