Can you do a video explaining your build setup, equipment, charger, and recommendations of things to avoid from experience please. Hi Matty. I have been trying to download and run hotprops but having no luck. After downloading the mac version, when I launch the app I get a "patcher has failed" message, and the windows version gives me an "application not currently available" message. Any help you might have would be greatly appreciated. My mac os is version 10.7.5, and Windows is 8.1.

Can you explain how you have your Taranis setup? For some reason my roll is reversed and the invert feature in the app does not work. I have found a couple of hotprop vids but one guys says set the input weights and scale to 50 and this works for FPVRacer and HotProps. Well, it does not. My inputs are setup as Thr=Ch1, Ail=Ch2, Ele=Ch3, Rud=Ch3.

Too bad Hotprops isn´t working with the Turnigy 9x, I can set the radio up in the main menu and press save. When in the game i get instant full throttle and no response on radio input :(

Thanks for sharing this sim! How do you connect your Taranis to the computer and interface with this? I know a lot of simulators sell a dongle that connects the two... How about this one? Thanks!
@mattystuntz8 жыл бұрын
Just a usb to the computer and the same plug to charge the GoPro into the taranis
@fpvvideo88608 жыл бұрын
ok I might be a little confused wouldn't be the first time dealing with comps. You mention something about setting the throttle to 75 on taranis, Im drawing a blank as to what you mean by that. Mind putting that into taranis for dummies context? :)

I got the sim a few days ago, but it still isn't running yet. It says processing of like 136, goes for an hour, then says failed. It has gotten all the way to 79 so far, and picks up where it left off. Running a Mac Book Pro Retina :/
@mattystuntz8 жыл бұрын
The sim is buggy, but just keep trying or download something similar. Luke Bannister plays liftoff.
@TheRCAddict8 жыл бұрын
mattystuntz Ok, it started working now! Getting my radio and rates set up. I HATE Liftoff. The physics suck a** and there are like 2 settings in the whole game..... I like Free Rider
@TYUJNBHJK8 жыл бұрын
I use liftoff a bit, and I would definitely say that it too requires quite a bit of messing around in order to get it feeling right. Personally I dislike Free Rider's physics; a lot of it comes down to personal opinion.
@TheRCAddict8 жыл бұрын
Gryffin Cook I don't see how you could get Liftoff to work correctly since there are no settings to change? Free rider is nice for me as runs fast, and physics menu has all you need.
@TYUJNBHJK8 жыл бұрын
The RCAddict It doesn't have a few things which would be nice to tweak such as gravity, but you can change the props, motors, frame, battery, camera (angle and lens), pids, rates/expo/throttle curves, (all of these things do change the feel alot). You can also build maps and download hundreds of user maps, all of which can change immensely how the game is to use.

Hey Matty, could you give any information about how you setup your Taranis to work. It seems to recognize in calibration, but when in the track the quad just flies away with no control. I am tired of using Xbox controller.. lol Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the videos Btw.. Great flying
@mattystuntz8 жыл бұрын
I know people had issues. You just have to keep trying I'm pretty sure
@TheRV78 жыл бұрын
Got my Taranis Plus working. For those having problems with full throttle and no control you have not set your axis in the sim. Go to the Calibration page and you should see (in the blue boxes below) "Axis #" beside throttle, Pitch, Roll and Yaw, if you don't see anything on yours it will not work. You need to click the blue box next to Throttle and set that axis. Do all 4 axis and hit Save. That should get you working. I had to also invert my Roll axis under Calibrate. Good Luck!

Are the pids and rates you use jn simple the same as your real drone?
@mattystuntz8 жыл бұрын
No only use these settings in the sim. They do not relate to real world
@ronangsr8 жыл бұрын
+mattystuntz hi thanks for reply. I presume your quad in real life feels the same ? I have been practicing with your hotprops settings but instantly I noticed yawing is now non existent and most of the control of quad is done with right stick mode 2. could you share your rates please? I would like to set my real quad up like it is in hotprops. Thank you very much.

Hey Matty. Maybe you can help me. I got the sim that you talked about. It runs fine on my laptop. The only thing is that when I load a track as soon as the game starts my copter takes off like it is at 50 percent throttle. What do I need to do to my taranis plus or is it a setting in the game
@mattystuntz8 жыл бұрын
That because your controller isn't connected. Same thing happens when I turn off my remote
@kip3838 жыл бұрын
+mattystuntz I got it working. My taranis was connected. Because I had control over pitch, roll and yaw.It was my world gravity. It was set to 0. Duh! thanks for the help. Oh and keep the awesome videos coming.
@richards58638 жыл бұрын
Same thing happens to me. In order to get some stick authority at zero throttle I up the trim a bit, but then the quad takes off as soon as you start the sim. I've just learned to quickly pitch forward and start flying. Any other way to get air mode or some authority without it taking off like that? Matty, really appreciate the knowledge transfer...Its rare to find people gifted with such talent that want to share and elevate all those around them...good on you, bro.

High end pc for this game? I run it on all my pc's without a problem. Just use Windows instead of OSX. A GPU under OSX runs max on 60% from what it does under Windows. Also watch out with gaming under OSX. As your cpu needs to work hard, it will die faster. OSX is not that good with controlling the CPU temp.

did you really go buy a top-of-the-line mac just to play this sim...? i know i'm going to get a lot of hate from apple fanboys for this, but... you know you could have gotten a windows or linux PC that could run that sim for probably half the price of that mac? macs aren't really designed for playing games anyway. btw, i use that sim aswell. it's great isn't it :) and my computer cost just about the equivalent of 650 USD. runs it at max graphical settings at over 60 FPS

Not even a 30 second simming clip? Where's the aerial cinematography? Check that, your 1st video didn't come up in my subs stream for some reason. I see the simming, cheers. We need these sim to get better audio, not one single heli sim can even get close to real sound when graphics are so close.
