people never gave matu enough credit in old liquid. he was the player that kept everything together, he made space for miracle by fighting early, playing the hard lanes. pretty much just playing as a pos3 on pos1. miracle was the win condition, but matu was the one getting them there.

That was such an epic run, with many close calls but somehow they made it all the way through the lowers to 3-0 Newbee in the finals. And now the second TI win, also 3-0 versus Gaimin this time.. good times, was a sad day when Matu retired but the current Liquid roster is worth cheering for! 😁

I agree when matu said that dota was really so fun to play at before. When there is sideshops, juke plays, one team one courier, no glyph that can split fire and fortify at the same time, rosh is on the right side of the map, no neutral items and most of all, when MMR gives numeric value that is visual to other players specially the SOLO and PARTY MMR. Valve really have no idea why people love dota 2. It is because dota 2 is simply dota 1 before. Now, if not because of heroes, i don't know what is dota anymore. It is so sad that valve ruined dota 1 by changing a lot of mechanics in the game, they really thought that is what dota players are after to keep playing. And yes I quitted dota since 2019 because I'm losing the will to keep on playing due to the constant changes. But yet, I'm still a big fan and that will never change.
