That is a great question. I suspect this will happen as the additional rooms come online. I don't remember if it was available already. They were sending text messages about specials.

That is a nice property with an incredible view. I don't even want to know what this would cost as a hotel resort per night!

This resort is as good if not better than the Westin resorts and the Marriott resorts on the island but at half the cost. If Hilton can upgrade their other locations to a similar level, it will prove hilton to be my best investment (which it might already be)

I think HGVC is the best, but only if you put time and money into it. Dabbling doesn't work well. Even with my Platium EOY 7'680, this would cost me $350 per weeknight with club dues for a 1-bedroom. 15,000 annual points at Boulevard, about $200 per weeknight. Not that $350 is bad, but that's a drastic difference in value and enthusiasm towards the program.

The biggest challenge I find is that newer resorts have higher point values (due to high construction costs). Hoping and improve works better just like in housing.

​@timesharetraveler Makes sense. I bought the cheapest turn key house on the market 2.5 years ago, which was built in the late 70's. 20 years newer, but fixer uppers, tended to go for 25-50k more.

Do you ever find yourself in a crunch to "use it or lose it" on your points near the end of the year?

Not yet. I did roll one set of points to the following year. But that is offset by using points from another timeshare system from a future year. It is a worry when you own a lot of points.
