The BeeGees will forever be one of the absolute GREATEST of all time groups ❤️ they had the talent, looks and great personalities to go with it🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 to overlook them is to miss out on what it means to be human. You know, everyone says Maurice was overlooked and in the background…so not true! In all that I’ve read, he was very happy with his role. His voice was incredible, always instinctively knowing how to blend in with the others. He contributed greatly in the songwriting musically, and of course played a ton of instruments. He was the peacekeeper, the mediator between the other two brothers. When not involved with the music, he loved playing paintball…he actually owned his own store. He was a great father, and was also the favorite uncle. He loved magic, and everything computers and photography. He was a happy man, sure of himself and of his part of the Bee Gees.

If you forget your own words, just whistle. 🤣 His voice is as good or better than any so called "artist" now. He could kick their butts with ease. Everyone said he was the backbone. He was their musical director for live concerts and musician par excellence. When they came up with an idea, he found the perfect chords and harmony. People said he could hear the entire band and tell if one person's instrument had one string out of tune. The two headstrong brothers, who shall remain nameless, wouldn't have lasted a day without him. Robin said Mo had a wonderful childlike personality that is so rare in a man! I can't picture Barry or especially Rob playing paintball. All three gentlemen were one of a kind.

Hi Susie! I just found Chad's channel and I'm catching up with old posts. I loved what you wrote about Mo 💙 I am sure Barry understood how crucial Mo was to the success of the group. He had worked on many projects with Mo outside of the Bee Gees, so he knew how extraordinarily talented his brother was. I think that's why he felt he couldn't carry on with the Bee Gees after Mo was gone.
@susieq98012 жыл бұрын
@@alliej8621 - Mo also worked with his twin in '69 (against Barry's wishes at the time) when Robin briefly left and also in the 80's on Rob's solo albums. Rob also co wrote songs for Streisand and ALL THREE wrote together for themselves and many other performers like Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. They were a terrific team. Mo was the cordial dude who just tried to find harmony both musically and within his family. His loss was terrible and sadly unnecessary. Mo and Rob were so close, although very different personalities, that when Mo died half of Robin went with him. Spencer said his dad never got over it and was never the same. Some of Mo's ashes were buried with Rob. Chad is BY FAR the best reactor. He has done probably 200 Bee Gees reactions. He has learned so much about the brothers that he never knew at the start and now he is practically an authority. It's interesting to watch his reactions about them from the start and see how his knowledge and especially his APPRECIATION of them has evolved. He admires ALL THREE while a lot of reactors just stick to the disco era and Barry. Cheers.

Coming in at 5am starting on Black Friday and still coming in at 7am because they are still sending 12 pallets a day. And, if that wasn't enough, I have to get all my merchandise out by 3pm. I love this song. Beautiful song from such a wonderful, gentle talented soul. I understand why Yvonne chose this song for Mo's cd on Mythology. His vocal range was crazy but was happy being the peacemaker between his two more volatile brothers. Barry said he and Robin always gravitated to each other and in their younger years were always in cahoots lol. The problem was they were so similar personality wise they needed Mo to calm them down. Such a humble soul. I don't know if you have heard the Bridge. He sings it with both Adam and Sam his kids. You have to really listen to tell the difference between Mo and Adam. His song Angel of Mercy with Sammy is also awesome. He obviously spent a lot of time singing with his kids. Their harmonies to are crazy. I miss all the Gibb brothers ❤

Dear Mo, he was kind of like the George Harrison the band. Kind of in the background, but sort of the musical director of the band, singing harmonies wherever needed, winding around whatever Barry and Robin were doing, not to mention keeping the peace between Barry and Robin. There's a reason they never recorded together again after Maurice passed. He said once in an interview that he felt unworthy of being part of the band and all their success, etc. but little did he know, he was the mortar that held it all together.

Happy New Year Chad . Your daughter is very pretty. I remember when my hair was that long back in the old Bee Gees days. Lovely pics and I hope you had a great holiday season. My visit to Texas was not long enough but those 2 great granddaughters were worth every minute I had with them. Now to Mo. He was so talented and really enjoyed being the gadget man of the group. Most of his contribution was to creating the musical scores of their great music. Many of Robin's great works as an independent artist were backed up by Mo's vocals or instrumentations. They worked well together I guess it was because they were twins. Mo and Barry often times referred to the fact that they had the same sense of humor and would react off each other. Mo said he was the extrovert of the two while Robin was the introvert which made their relationship so harmonious. Robin said his relationship with Mo was so close because they were very rarely away from each other since they were born. Mo knew where his place was in the Bee Gees and he played it to the greatest degree. What a great loss for the Bee Gees when he passed away and then the passing of Robin really ended the Bee Gees forever. We're so lucky that they left behind such a massive amount of music and videos for us to enjoy.

First off, Chad, your daughter is gorgeous! Second, this is a song I actually wasn't aware off, especially all of Mo's work on it! But it reminds me of Paul Lennon's "Maybe I'm Amazed" and how he played every instrument and sang on that. Then, when you think about how Mo used a guitar given him by John Lennon, especially on his last album, AND that he was best friends with Ringo, it all seemed to fit together somehow. Just my thoughts. 😊

Happy New Year Diana!! Mo could do it all, and had such an instinctual ear. He had so much admiration for both Paul and John, that their influence could be felt at different times. As much as we love this album now, they were trying to figure out what to do next in their career with this release, and not even sure who the audience was. The lyrics to "Alive" and "Please Don't Turn Out the Lights" have this desperation that just chills me.
