Such an emotional song, Mo's voice is so sweet and smooth...

It so wonderful the way the BeeGees are willing to openly share their lives,whether public or personal with their fans. I think it just makes us feel so much closer to them. They are so full of love and we are so blessed to have them. Now, just Barry, but God Bless him and may he continue making that beatiful music for us all.❤❤❤

Thanks for making me cry. I have always heard he did this with the kids almost as a reconciliation after getting to a sober place in life. You can hear the love for his beautiful kids in his voice. I think it was trying to denote calling them across the bridge of their bad times, and walking a new road. But, these days It sounds to me like he's calling to them from where he is now. It just makes me all the sadder that this man left too soon. They actually put this together around 1999 but it was not released until it was chosen for "Mythology." Sammy has a very beautiful voice, and you can hear it in her verse. You are right, it is harder to hear Adam. Really what hits me like a ton of bricks is the very evident love and pride.
@lauravettoretti13233 жыл бұрын
😭❤. I think the lyrics also refer to difficult times they faced as a family due to Mo"s alcoholism. They conquered it and came out stronger on the other side...for the few short years they had left together until his untimely death.

Samantha lives in my home state of Ohio now. She wanted to give her son a slower paced life than what they had in FL. She was recently featured in an Ohio musical magazine. Adam and his family reside in FL still. They both have beautiful voices and are featured in the “Gibb Collective” album.

This song is nice, the thought of Mo singing with his children is pleasing all in itself. But then most parents who enjoy music will sing with their kids when they are small, so I'm sure that the Bee Gees did with their children when they were little. Sam and Adam are both on the Gibb Collective album I've mentioned before. Sam has had other recordings, she was part of other bands. She also performs with Spencer Gibb as a duo they call "the ghost twins". This is interesting being that Spencer is Robin's son, she's of course Mo's daughter, so it is as if they are saying that their dads are performing with them in a way.

This is a beautiful song by Sammie and brother Adam. It was very emotional. Sammie sang with Barry on his mythology tour. He stopped the tour when the pandemic hit. She has a beautiful voice. Some of the Gibb children chose music and some didn't. I think Adam could have. Robin's son Spencer and Barry's son Stephen have. Thank you for your reaction.

THANK You, Chad...💕 This beautiful track by Mo and his children Adam and Samantha brings me to tears - every time I listen to it. Yet, it leaves me with a deep sense of hope and pure joy, as well...💞 If You want to hear more from Adam and Samantha (as well as Steve [Sir Barry's oldest child...], Spencer [Robin's oldest son...], and Peta [Andy's daughter...], You've got to check out a YT clip of them [they call themselves "The Gibb Collective"...] performing the Bee Gees track "PLEASE, DON'T TURN OUT THE LIGHTS", in honor of their fathers. The talent that started over 60 years ago with three young brothers 💖💖💖, proving to be a gift that keeps on giving...❤❤❤❤❤).

@@vandoraginther6421 In regards to the "Gibb Collective", there are several cousins participating in the making of that album that I didn't mention - such as Robin-John and Travis. However, Steve (Stephen...) is the first one of the cousins that I recognize (even though Robin's son Spencer, is the oldest of all the cousins...) - since he's the oldest son of the oldest Bee Gees brother, Sir Barry.

"Walk across the bridge, come to me", "You'll never be far away", sentences which are deep within me, too! Yaknow, we can't make a river flow upwards, not only a rivulet. What we can do is building bridges, just to cross a raging river with dry feet. Glad, you also have 'Angel Of Mercy' on your list, Chad. And to everyone, who's interested in Mo's shining soul, watch on KZbin 'Fighting Back', save an hour (it's part 1 + 2) and you'll get closer to him than ever. Thanxalot, Chad and I'd like to remember you, Stephen Gibb, eldest son of Barry, sang together with him a song called 'Living In The Rain', to find on YT, it's also worth a listen.

I think Adam is very handsome and Sam has a lovely voice. Mo's kids seem really well grounded. Mo said he never hesitated to tell his children every day that he loved them. The photo of Adam receiving Mo's CBE with Barry and Robin is lovely. Someone may correct me if I'm wrong but although Mo passed before receiving it I believe he did know it was to be awarded to the brothers. The only thing I find a bit sad is that all of the cousins except Robin's children (who grew up mainly in the UK) have lost their lovely British accents. 🙁 Have a great week Chad.

If I remember correctly, they were honoured on the Queen's Christmas Honour list 2002. Because of Maurice's death in January 2003, they did not accept the Order until 2004.

I like that Adam calls Barry and Robin "Uncle". From what I've seen all of the other kids just refer to their dad's brothers by their first names. I see that as a sign of respect.

Their voices were beautiful. There may have some memories of the days of when MO was battling the alcoholism. There's a line where his daughter said "I never knew you ". He battled that demon nearly 15 years but when he got help the whole family helped him thru it. God bless him for making it thru soon enough to help his kids with their own singing talents.
