She's marvelous... I think it's the best video of Ravel violin sonata 1 in youtube..!

@MEL P She REALLY is marvelous! And it's a shame that this lovely sonata, a real gem, be so little known, and not included in the repertoire of the many great violinists we have in these times...

This Sonata lives rent-free in my head. The performers are perfect. Ravel writes things I dare to think.

Gorgeous performance from both artists, and how wonderful to hear it on this Erard… what an amazing instrument! Thank you for this gem.

As you know, Ravel himself owned an Erard. Nice to revisit that sound world!

Klare und gut artikulierte Aufführung dieser impressionistischen Sonate. Die Töne der Solovioline sind wunderschön!

Such wonderful sonata! It should be more played since the n2 is much more often played than this one which is a sweetness masterpiece. Maria Milstein and Hanna Shybayeva simply wonderful too. Maria Milstein really has something special with Ravel

A Violiniste creating wonderful sound quality delicately . To bad a little overpowered by the not so delicate piano though the pianist not to blame it’s the instrument otherwise first rate performance.many thanks

It is an absolutely wonderful interpretation, but you are programmed to hear defects only ! Maybe you should reprogram yourself ?

@@majamladenovic3398 It sounds like they are programmed to listen to piano quality as well as the music to me. As a pianist, I am very thankful to those listeners!

E natural instead of E flat at 9:46 really hurts.

She plays an Eb, which is what Ravel wrote. She might have taken it a tad sharp but at this point she's playing a few cents sharper than the piano as is so often the case with soloists, it's a legitimate aesthetic choice. I don't why that note stood out to you.
