I live not far from where Leeds train and I’ve seen bielsa in person several times in (Wetherby) town, just casually walking to Morrison’s, he often sits in the local costa with other staff members. He walks with his head down dressed in normal clothes with a backpack and when he’s recognised he’ll raise his head and say hi with a smile. Due to current situations I’ve not had a chance to take a pic with him or get close enough.

@PhilWhelanNow4 жыл бұрын
Leeds position in the league next May will help determine if his methods are still innovative. Pep’s certainly taken inspiration from Bielsa, but the increasingly dominant approach is coming from German league coaching, and Ralf Rangnick, valuing position more and possession slightly less than the previous possession dominated approach.. Bielsa himself has made the point that he learned some completely new things from Chris Wilder’s system of play. He is an interesting guy but watching the Leeds team, it’s conceding plenty of goals. If Bamford gets injured, or Phillips, they’ll probably struggle. He’s not exactly won a bunch of trophies has he?

Unfortunately, El loco hasn't won lots of titles, as a matter of fact, he was about to win one in particular, Europe league's final with Athletic Bilbao in 2012, it was extraordinary football team composed by Llorente, Muniain, many footballers else. On Poch, he must be Argentina's next manager because not any Argentinian manager takes an English team like Tottenham to a UCL's final.

Bielsa is fully imbedded into the Leeds project. He will be fully involved in the building of the new training ground which is closer to Elland Road. He has already said that he wants to have a major say in the community project that will run alongside that training ground. He has now been with Leeds longer than any other club side he has managed and I think he will be fully involved in the selection and recruitment of his successor when he finally decides to leave. Unless the owners decide to do something against his wishes I think this may well be Bielsa's final job before retirement.
