I enjoy having the travel videos to scaffold the airline reviews. One of the highest compliments I can give to the channel is that I always watch your videos at 1x speed - never on fast forward!

Amazing video as always and Mauritius looks like a great place to visit. I think that it would be fine to have the travel videos on the channel along with the flight videos. They're awesome videos and whether they're on this channel or another, I'm definitely gonna watch them. ❤ from Los Angeles.

Hi Gabe, I enjoyed this. It is gr8 to see a place I will never visit in person. Having a local show us around was an added bonus. And, yes, please do a travel video from time to time here, no need for a separate channel. RogerC 8/25/24

I think the mix you have right now is really nice. So please keep it this way and well worth repeating, your footage is stunning and mixed with those background vibes...so good!!

Thank you! I will keep attempting it. Eventually if the travel video views stay super low I may have to split them off though!

Went to Mauritius a month ago, very nice experience. You got the turquoise waters and beach resorts, but also towns and lovely scenery. Makes it abit more interesting, not only staying at the sunbed for a week.

@@airedition I actually think I was in Blue Bay one or two day before you, and waiting for the evening flight there was amazing. Great location for a last minute bath, good food and plane spotting

Welcome home even though you already left 😂.It's always a pleasure seeing flight and trip reports specifically on my homeland. There's also rodrigues island an autonomous island on the dependency of mauritius but still a great island

Love these small trips! I did something similar in the Caribbean a few years ago. I was in Barbados for about 8 hours. Arrived on a boat, left on a plane lol

0:45 During the Olympics, an athlete from Mauritius was introduced and my family said they’ve never heard of it 😎so I told them it’s a small island east of Africa and Madagascar with postcard perfect beaches and interesting aviation choices to get there 😂 I probably wouldn’t have known either if it weren’t for aviation KZbin channels✈️

Thanks! I also prefer mixing them up in one place. Unfortunately KZbin doesn’t seem to like it so much, and the travel videos tend to get super low views!

Hey gabe ' got the best job on earth...know mauritius from the '90 and stayed as crew at the shandrani hotel complex near the airport. Dont know if it is still excisting. Have a vibrant time and happy landings. Kai

23:21 I enjoy watching the extra travel content. Idk if you would need another channel to separate them. Even though I’d watch both planes and travel locations, I think the video title, thumbnail, or description should say whether a video has mostly aviation content, only some, or if it is all exploring a destination 👍
@airedition3 ай бұрын
Good point, thanks!
@Michael-ru3rt3 ай бұрын
Please continue sharing insights into some lesser known places - might inspire us to plan a stopover at some of them. And unless you publish them weekly I do not see a need for a separate channel. Screenshots calling out "24 hours in Mauritius" or "Hidden European Paradise" should make it clear that these are not aviation videos. But you might as well think of a more descriptive title for these ("The perfect day in" as in your video about Flores should do)
@airedition3 ай бұрын
Yeah good point. It’s always tricky with KZbin and titling. Sometimes the most descriptive title is not the most effective for getting people to watch!

I didn't realize they spoke French-based Creol in Mauritius. I thought it was English all the way.
@airedition2 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s fascinating. Even though the British took over there they basically let everything stay French, and to this day it feels far more like a French Overseas Territory, although it’s not.

Very pleasant and enjoyable and here is some info on the shrine in the water at Pointe Jerome. It is a Christian shrine with a small statue of the Virgin Mary. I saw another one carved into the side of a mountain on the road descending from Black river gorges. But Hinduism dominates the cultural landscape in Mauritius.
