Pekka Pouta ("pouta" = "dry weather" in Finnish! 😆) was laughing because it was mid May of 2017 and typically the weather is about 10 degrees warmer. It was the coldest May I have experienced in my life and it came after a very warm and snowless winter. Of course there had just been a plumbing renovation in the building were I live and the central heating wasn't on. On a normal May that wouldn't have been a problem, but the building was chilly because of the unusually cold weather.

I've said this before, but I must say it again - Your Finnish pronunciation is exceptionally good. It often sounds completely native and authentic. You must have a very good ear for details and nuances, because that is amazing!
