Language can tell a lot of what people think of things. One thing that always fascinates me regarding to last post you read: In Finland: Skiing= cross-country skiing (hiihto) Down-hill skiing = down-hill skiing (laskettelu, directly translates to sloping down) At least all English speaking countries: Skiing: down-hill skiing Cross-country skiing= cross-country skiing I guess that tells a lot which one is the normal and which one is special in different countries 😃

@@Dex4Sure You know the "happiest place in the world" is calculated with like quality of living metrics etc. It's not like "They're the most happy people when we asked in the street!" +High suicide rate is really strongly linked with the dark winters. And the depression medication thing is also affected by Finland having a lower criteria for it since depression is taken very seriously in Finland. Not necessarily people being depressed more.

Not to mention rampant racism and neo nazis are pretty common. Of course, with everything else who could forget the Sámi people whose rights are being trampled. Not to forget we have a ton of deaths due to drug overdoses. Oh and fur farming, it is forcibly being kept alive. There are issues

I'm a Finn and I find Dave's videos and some other similar videos interesting, there are many things that are so everyday for us Finns and yet to someone else from somewhere else it's something nearly completely alien. I wonder.... because I'm interested about United Kingdom or England as it's known here. Dave, what do you think of Finnish kebab? It is even remotely similar to something you can have in another country like UK? (I think you're from UK, right?) What about Finnish ice cream? I love ice cream, is Finnish ice cream good, bad or something in between when compared to what you're accustomed to? Fish and chips, I want to try fish and chips so bad, I'm a junk food fanatic and the closest thing I've had was from Hesburger, a place you know. It was for limited time only though. Tea is a big thing in Britain right? Is our tea somewhere near it or something different? Do you like 'Men Behaving Badly', amazing series, the UK version of course. =)
