Bonsai for Beginners

The bonsai Lover with a simple material and good technique can build a good bonsai starting from a poor material. This plant for many at the beginning could not be a suitable material for bonsai but with some itoigawa graft and 4 hours of work turns in a future bonsai. Masterful work as always. For my eye, the jin still feels massive for the delicate nature of foliage. How do you anticipate the foliage will increase over time and more fully embrace and balance the jin? I must admit I am drawn to more natural appearing, less smooth jin features. Thank you as always.
