This is basically the same as the build I commisioned from short action customs. Makes me look forward to it even more.

Nice video. Look on the left side of the chassis and you'll see two set screws for the butt plate and comb. They will lock them down and keep them from rattling.

Flip your RRS adapter around on the bipod. Clamp knob on the left. Allows you to adjust with your off hand on various barricades.

Hubber doesn't like to split the trigger pull equally on the separate stages. They make the 2nd stage a little heavier that the first.

LRI will be finishing my Mausingfield build within the next 2-3 weeks. Looking forward to it.

LRI is arguably the most knowledgable smith for Mausingfields. If I didn't have a trustworthy smith nearby, I would have sent my Mausingfield to LRI.
@jimothy-johnson7 жыл бұрын
I think Chad said that they've done the builds for 25% of all Mausingfields ever made or something crazy like that. SAC seem to be big fans of it too. Same with Josh at PVA except I can tell he prefers Bighorns.

I spoke too soon. LRI finished the build today. It was an 8 day turnaround as soon as all the parts arrived.

I recently bought a Ruger Predator in 6mm Creedmoor, I put a Bushnell Elite Tactical FFP 6x24 scope on it and it so far has grouped as low as .200.....Hornady brass, Hornady 108 ELD bullets, CCI primers and Superformance powder...the 105 Berger Hybrid Target bullets have shot well also....working with the IMR4451 since it is a close match to the H4350 which is so popular...
@Rushshooting679136 жыл бұрын
LR Lapua I was thinking of purchasing that same gun. I can find them all over every gun shop in southwestern Pennsylvania. I have a 6.5 creedmoor and it's a one hole gun. How do you like the 6mm and is reloading supplies pretty available mainly brass.

Seriously about to order a 6mm blank for a 6mm Creedmoor to spin up for my Tikka T3x. Just the fact that I have a huge amount of bullets to choose from online, 6mm bullets are all over the place at the local shops and cheaper than 6.5mm. Also the amount of bullets for critters is another plus for me. Tikka T3x in a KRG Bravo chassis so will need to find a good contour at no longer than 24" plus suppressor.
@ocabj6 жыл бұрын
Bullets definitely cheaper. But it is offset by barrel life. Either, I think 6mm offers great cartridges. 6mmBR is also a great 6mm option and it does give more barrel life since it isn't a fast cartridge.

Jonathan Ocab Yeah that crossed my mind as soon as I posted that. Won't be so bad as long as I'm not running Proof carbons at 800 each.

just thinking about cost - some people happily pay well above $3k for Wilson Combat 1911 handguns. Seems what you get for your money with the rifle set up in this vid is a veritable bargain.

Looked like the trigger take up was almost a country mile - just guessing you need all that take up distance on the trigger for when you're shooting with gloves?

Looked like the rounds were getting hung up when you chambered them. How does that thing feed if your running the bolt at a rapid pace ?

Those weren't rounds. They were fired brass with no bullet or powder. That's why they hung up.

How can you have a 1 and 1 trigger there would be no way of defining the second stage ?
@ocabj5 жыл бұрын
Guide504 ? 1lb of pull gets the first stage, then an additional 1lb to get the second stage. 2lbs total

Great video. I also have the ARC M10 rings. I haven’t mounted them yet. Did you really torque you’re scope down to 50 inch pounds? I’ve been a little hesitant on doing it that’s why I haven’t mounted them yet. I just don’t want to crush my scope tube.
@ocabj6 жыл бұрын
Yes. I have the M10 QD-L and the M10 rings. You either take 4 screws to 15 in-lbs each, or one screw to 50 in-lbs.

Why would you have a two stage trigger that is the same weight both stages? Thats just a long ass 1oz pull???
@ocabj6 жыл бұрын
I have it setup for a 1lb first with a 1lb second for a total of 2lbs, not ounces. That being said, that's how I wanted it setup vs having a 2lb single stage. The reason why I like this setup is because with a single stage, I don't know how much pressure I'm applying on the trigger. All I can feel is that I am applying some amount of pressure. I have no definitive gauge. At least with a 2-stage, I know that after the 1st stage travel is taken up, I know I am applying 1lb of pressure and have 1lb more to go to break. Now if you're asking why I don't have a really light 2-stage, like a 1.5 1st and .5 2nd, I prefer to have a heavier than .5lb 2nd stage. Granted, I ran a 4lb 1st an 0.5lb 2nd stage in my competition Service Rifle, so I can probably deal with it. But there is a higher likelihood of an errant shot when taking up the first stage and holding on a very light 2nd stage.

Razor hd’s made in Japan. I called the company and asked if they were going to have them built in China as well...yep. Still great scopes for the money
@ocabj6 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Razor HD Gen 1 and Gen 2 are made in Japan. The Razor HD AMG is made in the United States. As far as the intent to move production of the Razor HD Gen and Gen 2 to China, I have no comment since I don't know anything about that.

For the cheek piece and the but pad. They have two little Allen set screws on the left side of the chassis. I have the same one. I agree It is a stupid design. They should have made thumb screws or something.
@ritterbruder2126 жыл бұрын
5:30 is that plunger even necessary on this bolt? I have a feeling that whoever designed this doesn't fully understand how the Mauser action works. The plunger is there so that on a traditional Mauser action with a 3-position bolt-mounted safety, the bolt shroud will not spin freely if the safety is applied on the middle position and the bolt is open. Because this bolt does not have the bolt-mounted safety, you won't have this issue to begin with, so it is completely unnecessary. The plunger was added to the model 98 Mauser. The earlier 96, 95, and 93 did not have this plunger, and you might run into this problem.
@Calcapwn3006 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure you're wrong, he understands the action. But here is a link to a vid Ted did explaining why the plunger/spring on the bolt. Hope that clears things up. kzbin.info/www/bejne/raPSZoqrpdeBrac
