I’d love to see more on other optics in their range. I had a look at their website and didn’t know they had so much on offer keen to hear more on the scopes, range finder, spotting scopes

I am not sure where you are located Fraser but if you are in Australia it might pay to contact Josh at themodernhunter.com.au/ and find out if he is doing any demonstrations of the Maven products in you area. He did one not that long ago at the Westernport branch of the ADA and the boys were pretty impressed with what Maven had on offer now.

I’ve been a Maven man for a few years now, can’t compare to others as once I looked through the next version down from these guys I thought how on earth is it possible to get any better 🤷♂️. And if so at what cost 😬😬

Interesting video. How do the Mavens compare to the the EL Swaros? You said they compared favourably with the SLC. I am curious how they’d go to the EL’ or the NL Pure binos. I assume the Swaros would be superior. But they would want to be for the price.
@BoltActionProductions2 жыл бұрын
I haven't got access at this stage to compare with something like the EL 10x42's but so far from what I am seeing the Maven's are punching a long way above their price point.

I personally haven't compared your binoculars to these Mavens but I'd be surprised if you didn't notice an improvement in brightness and edge to edge sharpness.

I have the Maven B.1 10x42. I bought them in 2020. Great glass. The biggest disappointment for me has been the eye cups. Maven did NOT go all in on eye cups, lol. When they arrived, the right eye cup was cock-eyed and stuck. I had to gently unstick it and it has gotten loose over time. The left eye cup has gotten looser over time as well. So, compared to my Steiner Merlin Pro 10x42, Steiner has far superior eye cups. Seems like such a small inexpensive piece to get right, but Maven dropped the ball. For binoculars that cost almost $1K, having unsat eye cups is a real disappointment. Overall, compared to my Steiner Merlin Pros, the Mavens have slightly superior glass, but with the incredible annoyance of the low-end, cheap eye cups, the Steiners at half the price were a far better way to go.

Just sent back a pair of "Kowa "bino's never in my life have I seen bino's with such clarity. . Never. But they were broken. Left eye adjuster was stripped and the bino strap holding piece was snapped off. But holy mother of Susan were they clear. BD2 10x42's have you ever seen their glass??? Japan made. $449.00 off Amazon. Crystal clear. As in Crystal Clear. I'm looking at the mavens now though. But you said they were Japan made and I'm told American made?????? So confused a tad?? I'm looking at the Maven B1.2 10x42 Any advice buy yes,no ???? Have you ever seen the Kowa brand????? Advice needed the mavens are $1000 and the Kowa $449.00 I'm always scared to reorder after the first ones were broken????? Which would you buy and why??????? Thank you in advance. Holy Mother were the Kowa's clear though, clearer than Swaro's as far as clarity. I was flabbergasted ...!!!
@BoltActionProductions10 ай бұрын
G'day mate. Kowa are certainly great brand and I have owned one of their spotting scopes for over 30years. Just remember each brand name has different levels of optics. Whether it be Leupold, Swarovski or in this case Maven. These different levels are often made in different locations as in all Swarovski optics aren't made in Austria. This is the same for Maven with their top end stuff like the B1.2's in this video being made in Japan. These are certainly right up their with the best optical instruments I have used and definitely some of the best value when it comes to top end glass. Good luck with your choice.

@@BoltActionProductions Can you in the kindness of your heart suggest, a bino that can compare clarity wise to swaro el's?? I got the Kowa BD2 HD but they arrived broken, had to send back. I thought they were as good. Hated sending them back for $449 they were amazing. But you may know of even better for around the same price?????? I'm just a working man with #2 kids and a wife. My piggy bank always looks anorexic. He looks like he is going to cry every time I see him. Money flows like water on payday just making ends meet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
