The Tract Toric ELR would be the closest in optical clarity and is currently on sale for $1440 at Tract Optics until December 11 2022 during their 15% off sale. I own the Athlon Cronus BTR too and the Tract Toric ELR is a better scope. I also own a Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 and several Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27x50s and personally prefer high magnification scopes in the lighter weight 30mm tubes with illumination and prefer Japan made scopes but the Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 is worth buying IMHO even if it's Chinese at the $700 price point. Is the Maven really $1000 better? I personally think the Nightforce NX8 is worth spending just a little more for.
