Hi Kris. I had to order 3 parts. The action tube, the tube end nut and the new forend grip. I ordered the new forend grip from Amazon. I ordered the action tube assembly and action tube end nut from Havlin Sales. I emailed Maverick with my specific needs and the specifics they asked for in the Mav88 manual. Havlin Sales contacted me first, so I ordered from them. Cost was ~$64.00. Maverick's cost was about $13.00 cheaper but I had already ordered from Havlin. The forend grip was $40.00.

Mines coming in this week with a few other things I have planned for mine. Next I need a stock and security barrel which are sold out literally everywhere. Going to end up making my own but can’t bring myself to cutting up a brand new barrel I’ll want for hunting later. It’s easy to find tho 😁

To change the remove the orginal forend I read the manual and watched a few vids on youtube. I did shoot a vid on this because there are quite a few already out there. I'll be cleaning my gun soon and am thinking about shooting a video on the disassembly and reassemly. And I will soon be doing a review of the new accessories. Good Luck on your upgrades.

@Kris Kringle also, the vertical pistol grip is another separate item. So there were 4 separate parts. The vertical pistol grip cost about $30.00.

The Halvin Sales website for ordering the action tube states: Measure from top of threads to bottom of collar that holds the action bars. This measurement is critical to fit when ordering forearms or stock sets that include a forearm. For the most part, 20-year and older sporting shotguns and new tactical shotguns use the 7-5/8” slide. New sporting models have used the 6-1/2” slide for almost 20 years. There are exceptions, however. To be sure, measure!

My 88 is 41 inches long. It’s an 8 round capacity (7+1). I ordered a 500A action slide 7-5/8" length and the action tube end nut. You can order from several places…amazon, havlin sales or from Maverick (Mossberg). Ordering from Maverick should get you the best price. If you don’t purchase a tube end nut wrench you can use a butter knife or other handy tool to tighten the tube end nut securely. Thanks for watching.

Mines isnt the pump grip its like two inches closer to the barrel. U think any chance of it hruting my hand evan then theres shotguns with a grip right next tothe barrel the 12 gauge shorty anybody kno my grip is 3-1/2 inches away from the barrel ?

Instead of spending $100 on the replacement tube, then $40 on pistol foregrip, im thinking of bolting a weaver rail to the bottom of the forend and attaching a vertical foregrip

I just bought the same exact shotgun. How did you remove the original forend from inside the receiver ? And how did you attach the new ones? Also, how many separate parts did you have to order? No, the action slide does not come with the end nut, they are sold separately. You'll have to order a tube end nut when you replace your action slide. Thanks for watching.

After taking a further look into the Sreamlight flashlight forend grip...I really suggest you contact Mossberg via their website. It's been lots of years since I purchased my Maverick 88 and I reached out to them for detailed information prior to purchasing my forend action tube. They were exremely helpful and always responded quickly. Please remember to give them as much information when you first contact them, i.e., serial number, barrel length, shell capacity, etc..that way you'll lessen the back and forth Q&A's...there were at least 2 different types of Maverick 88's made by Mossberg, each made with different forend grips. Giving them as much information about your shotgun will help them in giving you quick answers to your question. Hope this helps.

I bought it from Amazon, 8 years ago. Before all the restrictions on gun accessories. I don't know where you might find it today. Perhaps Cheaper than Dirt, Academy, have you tried any local small gun stores?

TacStar pistol grip pump SUCKS ITS A MOLDED SHITTY PLASTIC PIECE OF SHIT, broke while I was pumping the shotgun, went back to my Hogue foregrip and pistol grip pumps are just for cool factor, can't store it anywhere concealable gets in the way, this one seems a lot better but really they're not that good for combat.
