Maaan!!! I was just about to buy a dual enterprise too. For public safety or running any professional business, I need the best equipment possible. I just cant believe the difference in video quality. Wow
@SkyFireDrone20225 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the video , gentlemen. My only criticism is that in your comparison of the different sensors, I noticed you used the MSX setting on the XT’s but only had the IR setting on the Mavic 2 ED. Otherwise I think the Mavic’s images would have shown more detail. Still not nearly the quality of an XT (XT2?) but a little more, at least. In any case, looks like a great place to fly.. even on windy days.

Hello CyberJay1226, MSX made no change to the picture quality on the Mavic 2 Dual.

HI Al - I am sure one future versions will be more integrated. We are starting to see that with the new versions of the Matrice aircraft where they are integrating the Beacons. So they are just starting to scratch the surface. They have integrated not only one on the top but one on the bottom as well of that aircraft. Check out our new Matrice V2 video for more information.

You're exactly correct on the strobe light. If I have to have a strobe light then how do I use the spot light too?
@SteelCityDrones5 жыл бұрын
You can mount spot lights either on the booms or landing gear and then wire them to the back ports of the aircraft so you can turn them on and off through the remote.

Thank you very much for the camera demonstrations! One of my future projects involves thermal imagery of farmlands, I was thinking of getting the mavic for that. From the comparisons you guys made, I could tell that the mavic is insufficient for that job due to its limited resolution, furthermore it's not even supported by pix4d to begin with. We'll be getting a zenmuse xt instead.

Great video and detail! I’m looking at buying one of these UAVs for solar power farm panel inspection. Do you think that the resolution of the IR camera flying at 15-20 feet above the panel array would yield clear enough results to identify poorly performing cells within a panel? Thanks in advance for your response.

@@fidget2020 that's my question. Would a Mavic Pro 2 Dual Enterprise Flir camera still get the job done if you were flying relatively close to the ground? Even at 65 feet, the images appeared pretty blurry and poor quality from the Mavic 2. And those are still over $2K

Excellent review. I've been waiting for this comparison on the thermal camera. I have a mavic 2 pro, but I will hold off on this one until DJI integrates the accessories a little better so they can be used together. If the resolution was better on the thermal camera, and the spot light and strobe light could be used at the same time as well, I would definitely have one of these. Until then I will wait to see what DJI pulls out of their bag of tricks. Again great review you earned a subscriber.

Yeah, it's a tool in the toolbox kind of thing. I like the fact that the Dual kind of forces you to get creative with the camera and workflow to work around the low resolution. For example, with the spotlight mounted, if I see a heat signature, I can use the spotlight to investigate further. Plus, the MSX feature helps with the structure shape....seems like they were also trying to work around the low resolution.

Thanks a bunch for this comparison!!! I'm a videographer and in the planning phase of incorporating drones into my business. I was considering the Enterprise, but it's apparent that it won't be optimal for cinematic shots. So it looks like the Pro 2 (with the Hasselbad camera)will be my best choice for now, and then the Enterprise when and if I need the capabilities. I may contact you for more info.
