Great perspective. Im considering adding drone service for our construction clients… I think surveys and mapping would come into play as our Civil engineer has shown some interest. From the sounds of it the Mavic may not be a good fit. But then you went on to say the matrice may not either …. Have you tried or reviewed Skydio?
@MrDwaynecasey2 жыл бұрын
Came back to this - at about 19:00 you mention that the sensor, even though RTK, is not sensitive enough for survey grade work. I hoped it would be , I love compact drones. Which Drone does ? DJIs site seems to suggest the Phantom RTK as being the construction mapping solution.
@SteelCityDrones2 жыл бұрын
M2EA RTK is not going to help with magnetic or electromagnetic interference. The camera sensor can't provide good project accuracy because a camera base model is not possible with an all in one sensor. The P4RTK is in the same boat as M2EA for not helping with magnetic or electromagnetic interference but it can be very accurate for survey grade accuracy. The Matrice 300 is the best of both worlds.

If I understand well then no need to buy a base station. Just to rely on an NTRIP provider, that’s it ? In terms of hardware it is much more simplier, no ?

A little misleading, to me. You have the RTK version sitting in front of you and that RTK system is not interchangeable as far as I know but it does look like it has the little thumb screws just like the other Enterprise attachments. So, is this an add on antenna that you can purchase separately?

As far as I know there was never a firmware update released to make it work. You had to do a manual download-update for it which I never tried. The one puck antenna that's used on this aircraft only helps with positioning and not for magnetic or electromagnetic protection.

Quite a stark difference between the advanced Enterprise and the Enterprise Dual on the thermal cam, MSX option seem to be required due to low resolution of the thermal cam on the dual model (looking at getting a enterprise dual for domestic problems that needs to be resolved, but unsure at 50 to 100 meters if it will be able to see them) advanced is way outside my price range, but the enterprise dual is (had a chance to buy a parrot thermal for half the price of the enterprise dual but was hesitant on buying it due to problems with I believe motor or blade wobble causing them to fail and I am in the UK so spare parts for parrot is rare where as DJI lots of spares) My local police don't have a thermal drone, they do have a helicopter but they are not going to scramble it for bunch of kids (unless they start setting fires, witch they have done, set a bucket on fire in the middle of the road, but they also may have set a fire day after half a mile away) Quite good I seen your video as I thought the dual and advanced was the same drone but it's completely different

How does it compare to the Autel Evo 2 640T?
@HM-sx6mg3 жыл бұрын
I've done some research. The only thing the Advance has over the Evo 2 Dual is a digital 32x zoom. The problem with the digital 32x zoom is how poor the zoom looks when it's camera is based on a 4x lossless zoom. The Evo 2 Dual can do 4x lossless and 8x Digital zoom. Autel could have made it 32x zoom, but decided against it because it looked really poor just like on the Advance. The thermal camera on the Evo 2 Dual and Advance have the same resolution and capabilities. The Evo Dual can stay in the air for approximately 35 minutes before getting to 20%. Advance gives you minutes approximately 22 minutes before getting to 20%. The Advance does hoes a way to add a flood light or a speaker. Evol 2 cameras can be purchased separately if a newer upgrade comes out. Unlike the enterprise series which requires you buy a while new drone. Evo 2 is essentially future proof.
@HM-sx6mg3 жыл бұрын
Like I discussed in the other video, how does this DJI Enterprise Advanced better then Evo II Dual? Evo II has 10 more minutes of in air time. Thermal camera. Modular camera upgrades. RTK modules. Live deck video streaming. At $7.5k

Sure I will be glad to answer. 32X zoom versus 8X zoom. Better controller with built in high bright screen. Better and more intuitive app. EVO is also more expensive by a lot.
