House Dance Forever, the mother of all Forever battles, takes place in Paradiso, Amsterdam each year in February. The House Dance Forever battle was born in 2009 and inspired the summer edition: Summer Dance Forever.
Summer Dance Forever is an inner city urban dance festival where dancers from around the world gather in the city of Amsterdam, each year in August.
Seven days to enjoy an international dance feast, packed with the best of today and the great promises of tomorrow. Organized in several venues around town, expect a great variety of dance performances, next level battles and workshops to refresh and boost your skills. What do you mean with "no longer appreciated"? Have I missed something? Also don't want to be too hard on you but saying something like "didn't know europeans can dance" is pretty racy imo. Europeans can dance like every other human can. We people from Europe just had a completely different history and culture! If you look at the swing scene, Germany had a big influence on Rock'n'Roll and Boogie Woogie - especially because it was forbidden in times of the DDR. In terms of house you just have to look at europe differently. Yeah I can only talk for Germany since I am german but: First of all the house scene is American history and got shipped over to Europe by Caleaf and the other big guys -> for Europe this dance seems even younger than for America. Second, because the House scene is much smaller in Europe than in America, there are only few european house dancers and *even* less pros! This leads to less publishment and official Events. I could ask 100 German people if they even knew about House and only 10 people would definetely know it or would have at least heard of it! Because there are less european pros that are seen in the spotlight, you might think europeans can not dance but it's not that: we just have less experience in it which makes us look bad. Just watch the Boogie scene: more than half of the pros are from europe and the biggest swing festival also is in Munich, Germany 🕺🤷‍♂️ Sorry for the essay here but I want you to look more on our culture and history instead of generalising that europeans couldn't dance which is just wrong. DJs need to come correct I say this every year pick 3-4 tracks that will properly inspire the dancers 1st 2 tracks were like someone banging on pots and pans takes the musicality out of the music and vibe god made me funky is a classic

Same style of house music is always being played. Time for some fresh new original stuff that really makes it easy for a dancer to let loose.

Light , i wasn’t trying to snap at you, just saying, there’s a pretty great mix of music throughout the competition, and in clubs alike. The best DJ’s have a mix of the best and freshest house music there is. But house music by design is a style that’s ‘hey-day’ was in the late 80’s & early 90’s. That being said... You GOTTA let a ‘Masters at Work’ track let loose in the club. It’s hardly a drawback or stale in the least bit.
