So providing a product that helps millions of ppl not be in pain any more and allowed others to knowingly addict themselves is a huge crime? This seems incredibly hypocritical, that same logic makes crypto & privacy an evil. REALLY disappointing to hear that cr@p regurgitated here

I dont know why they went after max. They do seem to be making a statement, but why not go after someone connected to the current dark markets? Only the oligarchy can commit crimes. The criminals that control the gov have a monopoly on that. Great video.

Ross Ulbricht tried to order a hit on multiple people, just for stealing money.
@Sam_Bent3 ай бұрын
Actually, the murder-for-hire allegations were never formally charged or proven. They were brought up during the investigation but dismissed due to lack of evidence. No actual victims existed; it was part of a sting operation that didn’t hold up in court. Ross was convicted solely for running Silk Road, and those charges were nonviolent.

This is absolutely unacceptable. Thank you for continuing to promote our right to freedom, privacy, and anonymity. Hopefully Trump will have a shift towards the right direction. Elon's job is going to be to shrink the government as much as possible. Limiting their reach and regulations. I hope they follow through.

You think they’re willingly going to make themselves have less power? 😅
@QuantumlyImmortal3 ай бұрын
@doriontt I do not. Clearly we can't trust the government. But a trump win is definitely a better direction than the other choice. Trump is not a politician. He is a businessman. If he releases Ross I'll have much more hope in him actually trying to change things for the better. They will never give up their power but hopefully they can stop going after the regular average Joe American. It's not necessary and counterproductive

They knowingly waited for that money to grow, and then take the money when its enough for them to want. Dont they have enough funding? And how would a crypto person even know if theyre crypto was going into accounts on the markets?

6:54 only 2 mil? It is nothing. I understand your frustrations but many issues discussed in the video aren't as simple as civilian committing a "crime' in a grey zone of financial law. Also banks didn't just went unscathed, banking system is currently in an over compliance crisis because of shady transactions. It raised costs of swift and wire transfers and new clients are actually unprofitable for banks. Hence why we have more of those PayPal like cancer companies.

I have a theory... They probably knew he had a Bitcoin wallet, that was not much at that time, they kept an eye on it and now with bitcoin at all time high they decided to put together a case and get the money. He probably did recent transactions confirming he still has access to wallet and is not some lost inactive wallet with funds.

If you advocate for regulating pharma companies, and banks, I don't get why you're also advocating against the most basic regulations, KYC and licenses trying to assure compliance with the most basic rules. It's not even like these crypto companies and dark web markets are small businesses, they often move billions, and profit of the same crimes as HSBC.
@Sam_Bent3 ай бұрын
I'm an agorist, I think there's a difference between regulating banks like HSBC and imposing heavy-handed KYC on privacy-focused projects, and individuals. That said, you DO make a good point. Thank you for taking the time to point this out. That said, I'm actually for ending the fed competely :) That's a whole different discussion though.

The US government does not claim to serve prisoners. Prison in US society is seen as a punishment for sinners that needs to be unpleasant. As you don't really mention, the US Constitution itself allows slavery for prisoners, it is not just modern corrupt government overreach. Your work and the proceeds of it being given to private companies, only illustrates the problem with the US system only trying to serve companies. In more social democratic countries, like in Europe, the lack of freedom is already the punishment, and the government tries to look out for you, by providing opportunities for rehabilitation, instead of selling you to the highest bidder. If you want better treatment of prisoners, you should align yourself with progressive initiatives calling for a more rehabilitative justice system, against legal slavery, and for progressive district attorneys who don't throw people in jail immediately for small crimes. In my opinion, the libertarian advocacy of yours, may not throw people in prison for selling drugs, but I haven't really heard you advocate for prisoners' rights other than more government accountability, which means little when prisoners barely have any rights.

US gov. is charged with keeping prisoners in there 'care and custody' to qutoe the BOP's Program Statements. I've discussed the 13th amendment in other videos (your dead right about that). The lack of freedom is supposed to be the punishment in the US as well, but yoru right that it's not. It's punitive. Other countries have FAR less recitivism than the US, we agree there as well. Your correct prisoners have no rights in the US (in reality) on paper they have the 8th Amemendment. I've done a ton of prisoner advocacy. I managed 5 different facebook groups specifically on federal prisons, and wrote a book called Compassionate Release, which was a guide for federal prioners on how to write a §3582(C)(1)(a) motion. It's job was to have all the resource that a prisoner would need in order to fight for there freedom for the cost of the book (20 bucks) and a stamp or two (to mail the motion to the court). In total I know 8 people who wrote me to tell me that the book helped them get out of prison. I don't talk about that a lot here, because nobody really cares, according to my analytics, but also, because if I talk about opsec, I can prevent people from having to write anyting, or having to deal with the legalized system of slavery.
