as a pansexual woman i understand what max is saying about getting hate in our own communities. most of the time i’m made to feel like i’m not “gay” enough to be in this community. it’s horrid. we are community that are still fighting for so much the fact it’s taken over in our community as well is so sad.

Nice to have a serious tone at some points and to just bring things down to a serious level and talk about real shit that affects us there is time to be whitty and whimsical as well this episode struck a great balance between the two. Also its nice that someone had addressed the plague that is people attacking each other from within their own commuities because it seems to be happening a lot more nowadays when now is the time to be lifting each other up and supporting each other considering how shitty things are in the world right now. love the pod guys keep it up!

Only halfway through the video but I needed to stop and acknowledge that this is my favorite episode yet. I only started listening to the podcast on KZbin about a month ago and have binged nearly every episode since. I love your guys' banter but your friendship really showed on this episode. I am so glad Max is bringing up topics like this on the pod and sharing his own experiences, and the allyship and support from George just really shows the true bond you guys have. It sounds cheesy but the first half of this episode has been beautiful

This is a really really great podcast episode. I’ve personally had a really bad experience with cyber bullying from anonymous accounts and I understand what it feels to be hounded from the mob. Also the tube thing makes no sense, if the couple wanted the proposal to be sacred and private why would they do it on a tube? So it makes no sense to have a go at Max. Sending love to you both ❤

Unfortunately, as one of the firsts to do whatever you do, Max, people are going to project their needs onto you, which explains all this negativity directed towards you. I think it's an interesting conversation to have - and caveat that of course unkind commentary online is never appropriate, - but I would say that a lot of the in-fighting within marginalised communities comes from the fact that we've been on the receiving end of considerable historical oppression and therefore we rightfully should be holding our representatives to higher standards than those who are less likely to be wised-up. Inevitably aspects of that critique will be personal and toxic, but perhaps the reason that there's a greater culture of judgement within our communities as opposed to people who've always lived within the cultural hegemony such as straight culture is that lived experience that we have?

im late 1 year to the pod. i've just recently come across a tiktok of max and george promoting something (it was sus LMAO they were straddling, a pillow with "i love my boyfriend" in the background, and thought, oh! a nice gay couple with a podcast, seems interesting, i'd give it a go. imagine my disappointment when i discovered they weren't actually a couple lmao jk) i have zero background knowledge of who they were, what were they like. i've been binging all EPs from the very first one so that's my only judgment of character. and i just wanna say, max, you're a lovely person ❤ the amount of joy you bring to my life personally, omg. i look like a crazy person just laughing at myself listening to the pod like 4 hrs a day. i mean this as a compliment and not like a parasocial freak but, i wanna be your friend so much and to george. personally, as a gay man, i have zero. i mean ZERO straight male friends. never had one before. i'd die to have a friendship like yours (not saying my circle isn't enough) but it's quite rare here to develop something like that ❣we tend to gravitate more towards female friends and gay friends, so sometimes i just wonder what it would be like. and to see you and max's friendship? that's representation right there ❤ and a great one at that. love the pod, and love you both
