Max Budget Nex Guide (OSRS)

Here is a short and sweet guide/example kills of a Max Budget Nex kill, with a slow painful kill and a smooth sailing kill. After defense changes, Nex is now giga weak to ZCB, and VW in the bin. ZCB is 9% better than T-bow now, so whenever you range Nex, you ZCB. T-Bow is for the minions.

random question, what happens if you try to run Nex back and forth from the corridors/bridges and you're positioned along the wall? Couldn't you keep her at distance while ranging her. Kinda seen at 12:30 in the video

I have a 600m bank. If I'm going to buy ZCB first should I go for the Masori upgrade after or just skip for Torva? Or should I get things like Masori, Avernic and Primordials before I get ZCB and do Voidwaker for specs until I get ZCB?

is stalling on p2 melee worth it if you're duo ? and is it different if you're duo in bandos ? in trios it seems pretty good just because 2 ppl are still hitting while you stall

Absolutely not. It's giga trolling. Stalling wastes so much time and doesn't even get you more DPS. It's straight sabotage.

One thing I've been doing is bringing a menaphite remedy inside which is especially nice p4 when ur spamming brew when nex is targeting you. Could possibly result in more dps and also let's you not overrestore your prayer wasting prayer.

Oh yeah also it turns divine timers into normal timers so if you drink it at like 5s on your divine timer it won't drain your stats so it could potentially result in saving 2 doses of potions.

You could do this in teams but it's not worth at all in duo wasting a slot on it

how good is the nex nostalgia plugin we gotta commission someone to do voice lines for all the bosses with text dialogue like vetion and verzik so we can make a voice over plugin for them, I can just imagine Vetion with some skeletor ass sounding voice and Verzik would sound like ursula from the little mermaid because her model is basically ursula from the little mermaid except spider instead of squid

I currently own a twisted bow but i would like to proceed to do nex, is karils better to run or should i just sell my tbow for better armor and a zcb? So i bring a blowpipe instead for the minions.

You need Masori with tbow for Nex, so I think in this one case, you'd sell the tbow for zcb + armor and use BP on the minions. I do have some setups in the !nexfinder command on Twitch

Depends on the situation. If brewing then ACB would be better, most of the other time Tbow would be better.

Rune crossbow is better on Nex now. You use crossbows. Still bring tbow for minions/reavers

Budget: an estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time. But, there are multiple setups for max and I explain them here and in the Discord setups FAQ.

just my opin, but in max I get more consistent mvps with vw than zcb, also it's a bit faster to mp2 with vw to guarentee skipping p2. Zar noodles too often. Also max tbow feels better with the arrows in quiver rather than bolts, because you can only benefit from quiver boost on one slot from your quiver and you shoot alot more arrows overall, also the other slot doesn't benefit so the +10 acc and +2 strength affects only the arrows putting it on par with zcb, maybe even better. Also bringing a shield switch for spec is just annoying and takes up a potential combo eat slot. Death charge is meme, I'm yet to see someone steal mvp from a death charge, better off adding some combo eats to save ticks

Quiver boosts everything in BOTH ammo slots, that's not how that works. I go by the math not the feel of a weapon. VW and ZCB are within 2% of each other but ZCB saves you a slot because of quiver AND is better than tbowing when you are brewing, which makes it over 30% better than camping tbow at any point. Shield not only gives you defenses but over 4+ max hits which is disgusting. Death charges allows you to spec an extra 1-2 times per fight, even more if you are using VW because of spec breakdown. I don't know why you are so worried about mvps that you would do slower kills to get them.

@@GnomonkeyRS I'm FFA iron so mvps = loot, rather take 30secs longer on a kill to ensure an mvp. Your calcs are also missing rancor. I'm yet to see someone with the apm to death charge and zcb switch without tick loss whilst getting mvp. Also most of the nex community agrees vw is better for mp2 for consistent skips. You can only death charge a max of 1 extra spec at most (60%). And Zcb doesn't save a slot lol

Rancor wasn't even announced when this guide was put up. I did do KC kills with rancour in duos on stream recently and they were solid for mvping but would highly recommend not bringing it for learners. Most the Nex community also thinks range camping is good and thought Inq mace was good at Nex. They are wrong, simple as that.
