AHHH, Sandi, you are a wise, wise woman. Once you stan one SM artist, it is WAAAAAAAY too easy to get sucked into the SM universe and start to fall for all of their artists. And SM is unique in that it has 1st through 4th gen artists all active. Max is a STANDOUT. TVXQ is legendary, and like EXO, they lost members leaving the group now, just a duo. However, Yunho and Max are both A-MAZ-ING, and Cassies (their fandom are called Cassiopeias) are justifiably proud of them. You should check out Yunho, or U-Know too, he is Max's hyung and a freaking amazing dancer. He calls himself the most passionate man at SM. Max has 2 other albums, his debut Korean album, with the title track "Chocolate" (which will be right up your alley) and his Japanese album with the title song "Human". Changmin is also Xiumin's idol crush. He is the definition of a successful fanboy.

Sandiiiiii You made me happy without even realizing. TVXQ are my first ever kpop idols, people because of who I know what is kpop. Max is my first ever bias, he was young when I discovered TVXQ in 2011, but he debuted when he was 15 yo and I am beyond happy for people who are newer to kpop to discover him. Sorry I can't even explain how I'm feeling right now. And yes, I wanted to cry while watching Devil. Maybe you'll check out his 1st album and mv CHOCOLATE? The video is on his sexier side and still amazing. Or TVXQ? Spellbound, Something (my fav), Before U Go dance version!!! (be brave, they'll try to kill you), Catch Me, Keep Your Head Down... I recommend everything after 2010 or TVXQ as a duet. Yes, TVXQ started as 5 on 26th Dec 2003, but since 2010 they are a duet. Also please, be prepared - their older stuffs (till 2009) sound more strange, beautiful but different. Anyways, thank you! THANK YOU! ❤️

Hey there, new subscriber here 🤗 Soooooo happy to see more people reacting to TVXQ (and solo activities)!!!!! They are…… I have no words to describe how awesome they are. I’ve been a fan of them since 06 (back when they were five members; though Changmin’s always been my ultimate bias, Junsu’s voice can and will melt one’s soul, so I highly recommend checking out their older stuff too). It’s been quite the journey to see how much they’ve grown 🥰 Some quick recommendations: Old stuff ~ Rising Sun (upbeat), Balloons (you’ll see something different), Bolero (I cry EVERY time I hear it), Love in the Ice (same), Mirotic. New(er) stuff: Keep Your Head Down (first song as a duo), Catch Me (very dubstep), Something (you WILL find yourself dancing to it 😅), Love Line (super chill and fun), the Chance of Love,…….. and pretty much everything else they’ve ever done, as their stuff has always been top shelf stuff 👍👍

SMP is SM's own music genre, songs like TVXQ's Rising Sun, "O", Keep Your Head Down, EXO's Mama, SNSD's The Boys, I Got A Boy and aespa's Next Level, Savage are all SMP.

Devil gave me the vibes of the whole congregation in a southern Baptist church (or whatever denomination it is) walking in a procession to baptize someone in the river. Maniac, at the least the MV, is an homage to Alfred Hitchcock movies....the name itself is a play on "Psycho" which is one of Hitchcock's more famous movies. The song has a very Rocky Horror Picture Show sound to it, very theatrical, and as you said, manic, urgent, pulsing...it's such a fun song!

His previous solo song Chocolate is great as well, and not really an official comeback but All That Love is a nice ballad. The deer imagery in Devil is because his nickname has been Bambi for the longest time. And I love that SM brought sound effects in MVs back, it was huge like 10 years ago if you watch their Keep Your Head Down MV it's everywhere lol. Also the original artist for the song is a gospel songwriter hence the church song vibe. TVXQ!'s stuff is really solid but not sure how much time it'll take you to go through a video lmao. I'd recommend their live for the 2018 MBC song festival (Drop + Mirotic + The Chance of Love), they are amazing live and both have crazy stage presence. Yunho's solo stuff is great as well, he's my bias (I'm more into dancers usually) but I love them both so much. He has one of the most versatile voices in kpop, no style is off the table (honestly the only other main vocal I can think of with a similar level of versatility is Yang Yoseop).

Don't worry Sandi, you are not alone. Love all 3 songs. Devil is actually a remake of a gospel song Devil by Alex Runo, orig in English. Another song I like from him is Human. For me, it felt like it's the father of Obsession where the evil side is trying to rule over. But in this MV, the good prevailed.

I forgot as exoLs we should check the other sm artists for clues of the theories. Is that the same rock from Mmhh and obsession teasers? I used to be a cassiopea (tvxq fans) but I kind of stopped following them when the other 3 left. My bias was Kim Jaejoong ( they formed a group together named JYJ. But I didn't like much their songs and became a bit of solo Stan until they did things I didn't like) Max together with K.R.Y from Super Junior and BaekHyun, Chen and D.O are considered the best, top of the top, most exceptional male singers. And U-know have a very passionate personality, kind of like Chanyeol when playing games. He is very funny. Now that you got a taste of SM older generation I really want you to listen to K.R.Y, specially Yesung ( mi bias in Super Junior) I think you gonna love his voice.

Hey, he and Yunho are in their 30s...but in their PRIME...Check out TVXQ "Spellbound" mv...they are VERY EXPERIENCED...FOR ADULTS ONLY. Max is sexy af, and like I said, for adults only. He got vocals FOR DAYS.. I'M EXCITED FOR YOU...😂 "Devil" is soulful, I been doing the reactions for the past 4 days, Anita's was first...I think it's masterful...every reactor were getting chills, and some wanting to tear up..Max took us there...and nobody else has brought this flavor before, I don't even consider this Kpop...but it's fire. 💙🌺

Kinda funny! so many young folk not really knowing what the movies are that he's referencing. The first is "Psycho" with the showing curtain and drain - really famous scenes from that movie. Then there's the move "Vertigo" with the swirls - and then there's "The Birds" with - you know - the birds - all of these are Alfred Hitchcock movies. Then there's the Stanley Kubrick movie "The Shining" with the mountain-like art work, the hotel room and hallways, the typewriter repeat and the door and door lock being broken - that's where Jack Nicholson's famous "here's Johnny" ad lib is in the movie. All horror/suspense classics. Ah dear.....so old....
