One without a dictatorship, a false ideology and a violent attempt to enforce an identity in a couple of decades. One that did not come about through a coup, or one in which after the coup, the state was handed over to the people, to govern through a genuine democratic process. One in which ethnic delineation existed for the purpose of preserving past identities and diversity, but without administrative borders along those lines. We needed a regionalization at level of counties and cities. One in which the war crimes by all sides were adequately punished and an open dialog and process of reconciliation was fostered, rather than brushing everything under the carpet. Then, we might have had a chance, and it wouldn't have all repeated 50 years later.
