Thanks to all of you that have found this gem from the past, I am still so very, very proud of what we have accomplished more than 35 years ago. This clip is actually only video that was ever made and it was shitty Top of the Pops knockoff made on Belgrade tv, but hey, we were on TV and we were making our music known to larger crowd, so fuck it, we've said and did it. And it has so many views that makes me very happy and humble that our music touched so many souls across the globe. This iteration of the band was composed of Debeli (Milorad Milinkovic) on vocals, rhythm guitar and synth, Nebojsa Curcic on drums ( we actually recorded the song in studio with rhythm machine, thus the moniker with "Yamacs" box in which he plays in video), Mario Separovic on bass guitar and my humble self on guitar. As for the song, you could call it marriage made in hell between Sisters Of Mercy beat, Magazine guitar ( John McGeoch was, is and will always be my guitar hero) with oriental twist to scale and kick ass bass ride. Put on the top vocal from the grave from Debeli and you got Put. Again, thank you all for all appreciation that you have shown in comments. Mario P.S. I have found copy of our recordings, I will try to clean them up and either send them to Dronemf S. whom did amazing job on keeping a lot of quality music alive on his channel or will find some other solution. It all depends on how good they will come out. Edit: I have just read all attempts to transcribe words of the song, and boy, are they all wrong. So here is correct transcription, both in original as well in English: Na svome putu moras biti sam On your journey you must be alone Na svome putu moras biti sam On your journey you must be alone Na svome putu ja sam opet sam On my journey I am again alone Sudbina je moja da zivim It is my destiny to live Zivim za nju To live for her Svake noci ja gledam Nefretiti Every night I watch Nefretiti I to je normalno And that is typical Udaram glavom u zid I hit my head against the wall U svaku Subotu Every Saturday Samo za nju Only for her Svetovid se smeje sa plafona Svetovid is laughing from the ceiling I to je normalno And that is typical A ja moram da zivim And I have to live Za svoju sudbinu For my destiny Jer dete kasno je Because child it's too late Auu kasno je Auu it's too late I dete kasno je And child it's too late I da se umire even for dying I dete kasno je And child it's too late Auu kasno je Auu it's too late I dete kasno je And child it's too late Auu kasno je Auu it's too late Edit: I have uploaded first remix of Put on my channel with other songs from MiM, check it here: kzbin.info/door/0b-K1LYd1BPSAz2b8vZ-GQ

Fun fact about the lead singer, Milorad Milinković, copy paste from Wikipedia: Milorad Milinković is a well known Serbian film director and screenwriter. He is best known for his film Frozen Stiff and for directing the first Serbian 3D film, Fifth Butterfly. He is also one of the Chasers in the Serbian version of the game show The Chase. Frozen Stiff (Mrtav Ladan) is one of my favorite comedies(highly recommend it, if you can find the subtitles, which shouldn't be difficult, it was filmed in 2002), the other one is a children film, haven't seen it. I found this song by total accident and I saw most comments are in English... Since this is my mother tongue I translated it for everyone so you don't need to use translators with literal translations. Na svome putu moraš biti sam. / On your way you must be alone. Na svome putu moraš biti sam. / On your way you must be alone. Na svome putu ja sam opet sam. / I am alone on my way again. Sudbina je moja da živim, živim za nju. / Destiny is mine so I can live it, I live for it. Svake noći ja je gledam i vidim, i vidim... I to je normalno. / Every night i watch and see, and see... And that is normal Da je malo u blizini svaku subotu... Samo za nju. / Only if she was near every Saturday... only for her. Svako lice, sve je zaborav. I to je normalno. / Every face, it's all forgotten. And that is normal. Dalje moram da živim za svoju sudbinu. / I need to keep on living for my destiny. I opet nedostaje. Auuu, nedostaje. / And again it is missing. Auuu, missing. I opet nedostaje, auu i to sve umire. / And again it is missing. Auuu, and it's all dying. I opet nedostaje. Auuu, nedostaje. / And again it is missing. Auuu, missing. I opet nedostaje, auuu. I nestaje. / And again it is missing. Auuu, and fading away. More facts from Wikipedia: Milorad Milinković was born in 1965 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Department of Directing, in 1991. He is a director, screenwriter, writer, guitarist, singer, songwriter, DJ, critic, actor, football commentator and composer. His graduation film "Satan of Pannonia" has already achieved great success in the entire former Yugoslavia, and he was invited as the only film from the former Yugoslavia to the Barcelona Biennale. He is married to the successful actress Jelena Đukić, with whom he has a daughter. His love was called ‘music’, and he became a successful guitarist and singer in underground circles. In the middle of the eighties, more precisely in 1985, he founded his own band "Morbids and multipliers", its composition consisted of Mario Surjan (former member of the group Joy of Europe) - guitar, backing voice; Dejan Stefanović (former member of the group Duh Nibor) - bass, accompanying voice and Sterije Tolić - drums and percussion. The members of the group are Marko Milivojević (later the drummer of the EKV group) as well as Mario Šeparović and Ćurčić. Their songs are "Play a Twist on Her Face", "Zombie", "Hit", and the song "The Way". Along with the band, there was also the Morbid Association under the abbreviation SMB (Belgrade Morbid Association). After the band "Morbids and Crowds", he tried his hand in the group "Big Sex". One of their most famous songs is "Seventh Day". Later, he was again in a band called "Dragons". He released an album with the band zmajevi in 2003, and from that same band in the famous second season of the series "Crni Gruja" there is also music. The most famous member of the band is, in addition to the director Milorad Milinkovic, and the producer Boca Stojiljkovic. After significant successes and leaving a mark in the music world, Milorad Milinković turned to the film world and went to Novi Sad to the Academy of Arts and enrolled in the directing department.

I have no idea how I arrived to this video, but the KZbin algorithm has truly smiled down upon me this day! This is the absolute best song and band I've heard in ages!

Da je ovaj covek nastavio da sa bavi muzikom sigurno bi bio najveci mrak vokal na sceni, pravi niski bass vokal kao Andrew Eldritch.
@theshadow6528 Жыл бұрын
eldritch iz sisters of mercy? pa nije njegov vokal tako nizak, zvuci il ko bas-bariton il (jos vise) kao bariton koji pjeva na nizem kraju svoj raspona. Za bas niske muske vokale u ovom stilu vidi Fight Back - Sydney Vallette npr

This could be Sisters of Mercy! Im 48, was a goth/bat caver in the 80s. Well and beyond, really. How have I not heard of this band before?
@bravelittleabacus3 жыл бұрын
they were pretty much a cult band, and they didn't exist for very long, somewhere from '85 up to '91 and they never released an album, only a compilation of their songs

All you people who like this, look for Luna - Nestvarne Stvari (band - album). It's an old Serbian(former Yugoslavian) band from Novi Sad. I'm sure you'll like them. You can find them as La Strada on this channel.

Whoa! Not only London boiz were rocking Camden town and Highgate cemetery in 80's! Goths from Eastern Europe know much more about despair so they kinda speak from their heart without playing fairy tales. ]:->
