I can relate so much to Max's story. For decades I struggled with substance abuse. I discovered running a few years ago and I am completely hooked. The highs I get from running are so much better and rewarding. I am able to have a community with running vs being isolated and using substances. Thanks for sharing your story Max!!

skateboarding and long distance running go hand in hand. The persistence through physical pain and mental struggles towards a rewarding goal. Skateboarding and running has taught me so much about myself and given me the strength to carry on when times are hard.

Max's story came at the right time for me. I’m in a complicated relationship with running right now and I needed this to keep me going. Thank you, Dylan, for this episode. Sending lots of love and appreciation from Romania.

Thanks for opening up and being raw about your past because it’s not easy to talk about the weaknesses and failures . There will be people who can look up to you and find comfort and hope in themselves. I wish this interview is 4 hours long

This is probably the shortest hour I spent on a podcast! So inspiring! Thanks for having him and wish Max the best in coming years, decades…

This is one of my favorite episodes ever. Can so relate to growing up with skate and surf culture and finding running a little bit later and tattoo culture rules. What a genuine cool guy.

Awesome show dudes! My family is moving to California, SLO county, in 2 weeks. What are 3 races you recommend I put on my list first?

Congratulations on an amazing race. Where's Jesse btw, hoping he's ok and only not posting activities on Strava .
