My dad used to say only parents know their own children best. What their potential is and what their weaknesses are. Max's parents really know what they are doing in raising their kids. Such good advice regarding raising kids and exposure to sports in children. Essentially raise your kid how you think you can bring out their best potential. No one else knows better than you do how to raise your own child. Doesn't matter if they turn out to be the smartest doctor/lawyer/engineer/businessman or top Olympian or they turn out to be the an average person in society. The key is not to focus on an end point but rather the lessons and experiences gained during the journey that brings out the best in them. So be it if they turn out to be the 7th best swimmer in Singapore, if that's their best potential and you have brought it out then you have succeeded as a parent. Don't use other children's success as the metric for your kid's success.

Rightfully true, don’t teach others how to raise their children and pick on their faults. They can emulate you on what you’re doing right with your own children. After all, we learn from one another. Only the good ones of course! 😅
