Its not just HBO, all of the streaming services frequently cancel really good shows, despite how the subscribers feel. Shows like Daredevil, Pennyworth, Deadwood, etc. and many others got cancelled for no good reason. Gone are the days when a popular TV show would run for years.

OMG! You are so right! MAX really screwed up! I would go 1st of the month and pick out movies that were “last chance” to see before they were gone and now they don’t have it and we don’t even know the movies that are being eliminated. I will complain also and hope there are enough people for them to bring some of the features back. I hate the setup right now. Thank you, as always, for providing us with amazing recommendations. HBO has always had one of my favorite streaming services in my opinion, despite their efforts to sabotage it. This is what, the 4th or 5th incarnation of the service? HBOGO required cable subscription, HBONOW was great but had some buffering issues, HBOMAX became a little convoluted with all the add-on content, but MAX is horribly watered down with all the Discovery+ reality show garbage... But, HBO still has the best original series on TV, in overall quality.

Have to say, Ive been tuning into your channel for quite some time and not to sound creepy but here it goes anyways 😆; you and I have eerily similar loves & dislikes in film. The first episode of the Idol was actually quite good. I’m hoping we get a super pop-star spiraling from beloved idol to a lonely nobody in a drugged/sex & rock&roll, crazed madness of the entertainment industry. It definitely has that feel (the premiss is suppose to shadow Britney Spears career at her peak in a way) but it could always change into left field, we will see. I to didn’t like the change to MAX tho I do love watching their true crime doc’s (the more darker the better). I wanted to mention max also has I.D. For the true crime fans tho I despise reality tv with this exception… I recently was re-binging Eastbound & Down speaking of Ritcheous Gemstones, it’s still one of my favorite comedy series and McBride is great. Then of course his other shows followed with Principals, etc.. Would be too cool talking film with you 🤘 🤙 Great info as always 🔥🔥🔥

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is also my favorite - a great story and visuals. Some Iconic shots, especially of Monster Zero looking like he came straight from Hell. One of the few I watch over and over again.

DVD fans, I desperately need your help! There was a limited run series streaming a few years ago and I can’t, for the life of me, remember what the name was. It was set in the Dakota or Montana Territory before statehood. It was about a woman of mixed race; first people & European (I think) who adopts two orphan children and ends up in a community run primarily women. I don’t remember any of the cast members. I don’t think there were any famous names in it. If you can tell me anything about it I’d be grateful as can be. Thanks a bunch!

I kept hearing how good the Black coats daughter was good & after finally watching I totally agree! As far as the new Avatar, I absolutely loved it. I thought the first was incredible but this might have even been better? I find the stories to be so moving & cinematically they're insanely beautiful ❤️. Funny thing was, while I love movies & shows I rarely feel emotional about any of them. This new Avatar actually stayed on my mind for quite some time.

Technically they’re keeping it for a section of content within the app. But, removing HBO from the name of the app itself has to be one of the top 10 marketing blunders ever. HBO hasn’t had a decent owner for many years.
