RIP James McCaffrey, MP3 wouldn’t be so iconic without his voice and the amazing motion capture performance that added so much heavy weight to the movements of an older Max. Such a great time that still holds up today. My only gripe-everyone has it - no unstoppable cutscenes, but at least there’s New York minute

I like how Rockstar implements ideas created in one game to other titles. From Max Payne 3, the bullet time ability was directly ported over for Micheal's ability in GTA5. In RDR2, they added cinematic killcams originally implemented in Max Payne 3, and from the gameplay footage you showed, I also sense that the trolley mission in RDR2 was heavily inspired by a mission from Max Payne 3. Inspecting notes up-close with the ability to flip sides in RDR2 is something taken from LA Noire. Hence, it's exciting to see the culmination of different game mechanics across different Rockstar titles that will be present in GTA6.

God this series really deserves some kind of remaster at least on a graphical sense because honestly you can't really catch the same lightning twice with this. Always funny whenever you were able to dive back onto a pool deck chair on the yacht that's a great incredible difficulty to get there to begin with along with simply getting Max into his own bed

I feel like, when it comes to video game graphics, with each passing generation, the best of the best age slower and slower. With the only exception being the 5th generation which was a bit of a reset due to the jump to 3D. The best-looking games from the PS3 era look a lot better nowadays than PS1 games did during said PS3 generation. E.g. Metal Gear Solid 1 was 11 years old when Uncharted 2 came out but Uncharted 2 holds up far better graphically today, 15 years later, than MGS1 did in 2009.

My day was ruined when James McCaffrey died, such an iconic voice. It's sad that we won't hear him again. I think that his voice alone made those games iconic. I wonder if he managed to record all his lines to the upcoming remake. You definitely should play MP and MP2, they still look incredibly well for the time they came out. I played them for the first time in 2018 as I was too young to play when they were released but still it didn't make me feel they are very dated or hard to play. The graphics are still nice, the gameplay is fun as hell and Max's face in the first game is just legendary 😅

I love MP3 but i never liked how they changed the weapon limit. I get they wanted it to be more realistic but I loved walking around with an armory in my coat in the first 2 games. Gave you more combat options for different scenarios.

I recently went back and played this game and idk what it is but for some reason i can see why this was a huge development nightmare for Rockstar. Their goal of taking the Triple AAA quality theyre Reknown for when it comes to their Open World Titles and streamlining it into a Third Person Shooter is seen with the Destruction in the Branco Headquarters Shootout. The attention to Detail when it comes to the Glass shattering/Cover being Destroyed and walls being Destroyed is pretty damn good. For someone reason though i feel like they shot their Wad in that moment and failed to recapture the magic after that. If i could make a Wish for GTA 6,it would be to have the Shoot Dodge Mechanics from Max Payne 3 return in the Single player mode

I know this really isn’t the video for it but on red dead redemption 2 on the last mission some of the bodies you shoot look like characters in the game if that makes sense? I saw someone that looked exactly like Dutch Micah and someone that even looked like an older Jack Marston, maybe consider checking it out, there isn’t a lot there but maybe it’s some strange cult they had in there gang or something.

best game ever.... iam gamer of the first days... istarted with sega master system ans mega drive... and in all these years toll now...il never played a game thats nearly soo catching... till today i play max payne again and again ,evertime i find new styles for headshots etc ..that i not see before or elsewhere...i love this storytelling mood. ok some cutscens to long but all elemts in mp3 are so nice put togehter...i cant await the remakes....and i pray for all maxpayne fans dont disapoint us! technicel changes in while of new engine is ok but dont change the storytelling . if iam back in heaven...i must find a way to have a game of mp3 there...😅🤣

Max Payne 3 has gameplay features that were meant to be an experiment for GTA 5 features. However, this has been shown to a higher extent in Red Dead Redemption 2. The weapon wheel and the targeting dot are the only things that truly match GTA V’s gameplay aesthetic. Thanks for this great video and keep it up!

I remember playing this game when it first launched and seeing this video you have put together is shocking to me how well this game looks! It almost looks better than gtav! Although I’m guessing they kinda were developed at the same time so makes sense. I really hope they make a new one someday
