Was a kid when i played this, Was catched with the bullettime and shooting. Was a teenage when i played this, Was catched by the story, cruelty, psychology and humour. Now i am a 26old, a father of a small dauther. Not playing games anymore but watched this horor story, touching as fuck... man... Max Payne had pain in the butt...

you would sit there forever....i try most of the time, but in some games when the dialogue is repetitive I just keep it moving along.

I played this game on a friend’s PC when it came out. (I was 15. Holy shit, that was 19 years ago?!) It was SO intense, I never felt so immersed in such a dark, fucked-up world. Even more scary than Parasite Eve or Resident Evil, because it’s portrayed in the underworld of NYC with mobs, hitmen, murderers, drug traffickers, dirty cops, evil corporate, bloodthirsty, wannabe political leaders, insane devil worshipers...and ....baby killers. 😳 To this day, the scene with his wife and baby being murdered still make my blood cold. (Aftermath is ALWAYS scarier, I can’t believe they actually showed the dead baby, even if it was covered in a blanket...but the screaming and the gunshots, OMFG) It just sounded so real, it terrified me. The nightmare sequence still creeps me out. I was playing this game VERY late at night with headphones on with insomnia, it was a rather disturbing, but exciting experience.

00ngedysys and it _still_ freaks me out. Holy shit... 😳 4:42 But the way Max screams, “nooooooooOOOOOOhhhh-oooh” makes me laugh. lol It just sounded so phoned in, like he was trying to keep his voice down, and it unintentionally sounded silly. 😂 it kind of helps the trauma of the whole sequence. Everything else the voice actor does was absolutely flawless, though.

True :P, but to be honest, they used Sam Lakes real body movements together with some 3d scannings of a few stuntman for the full body roll/bullet time etc. People in general run like steven seagal when they think there running like tom cruise XD, the movies just make everything look so elegant and stylish

Big fan of the Gamematics adaptation of MP3, glad to see the first two were adapted as well. The graphic novel cutscenes seem a bit different tho, different text and the player controls arent there, was wondering if you used a different version of the game or something. Excellent adaptation regardless, this was perfect for getting my gf into the Max Payne story.
