@@flyingtools Hej! The I-1000 is now working very fine, after a year of use. And I got also the dc/dc converter as you did. I think that works fine with low wind speeds but I am not sure if I want to leave it definitely. If you have any comment to help me in the decision making process, I really appreciate that. I am happy to see you growing in KZbins views and in hardware. Keep it up, sir!

Brilliant video. Missed that one, just found it. I know you've sold your turbine but don't you miss the fun of it (and the danger!🤣). Solar is definitely more cost effective but it's nice to see my i1500 charging my battery bank on a grey very windy very rainy day here in Scotland!. The dump loads with 12v pc fans are keeping my pet goat warm for free too. !

Great videos! I too am an enthusiast and own multiple Ista breeze products. In my opinion, if you´re to be off grid, wind turbines are only a help to the solar. It will help maintain your batteries charged. Never expect to power your house with only a wind turbine or two.

Yeah from reading your description my initial thoughts were correct. You need a heavier line to handle that load without so much losses.

Absolutely, I mention that at 2:08 and you can also se me do a voltage drop/power loss test here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5XHq4mwqciekLM You should not take this too serious because it is built more fun, and to be honest, I had to say that I think that it actually works better than I expected. If I had to use the correct gauge on the wires, this project never had happened in the first place. Thank you for your comment anyway.😊

great video , I think you should try to put a bigger tale on the turbine . I think you lose a lot off power because it's not straight in the wind a lot of time . It's very gusty wind there and i'ts not tracking right , it swings to much . Just put a extra aluminium plate on the tale and try it out .
@flyingtools3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😃 You are absolutely right, I will try that out. Thanks for your advice.👍🏻

The panning and large fluctuations in power output are caused by turbulence the machine is experiencing because the tower is too short. With a taller tower that gets the machine up 40' above everything within 400', you would see power output max out and stay there.
@flyingtools Жыл бұрын
Yes you are right about that, but sadly due to the Swedish regulations, I’m not allowed too do that.

Hi. I know what you mean. It has to be really windy before it generate some good power. I went from 5 to 3 blades. It spins faster and it generate more power in good wind. 5 blades will probably work better in low wind conditions together with an mppt controller. Good luck to you.

20m. Är du nöjd med snurran överlag?
@flyingtools2 жыл бұрын

@flyingtools3 жыл бұрын
Tack!

@flyingtools3 жыл бұрын

Thank you😃. That sounds like a great idea. Just be aware that you get only half of the power at the same windspeed. A 1500w 48v will produce 750w on 24v. But rather something than nothing. Personally I think I will buy a MPPT tracker later on.
