These guys are full-fledged members of the main cast. This has never happened before outside of fan projects, and probably won't happen ever again.

If you're not pleased with Bayonetta, fine. I don't care. But the way her moves were presented make sense and expand on the possible future of Smash Bros, a game being stalled in the same style since Melee (or even the first one for god's sake). I don't think you understand what we call that sense of satisfaction of doing something awesome and being reward for that. "Meh" at best? You see... I'm happy with Bayonetta being on the roster and, in some ways, you should be because nobody except Nintendo was ready to take the risk of publishing Bayo2... And while I don't like RPG because I don't find them as interactive and fun, I'm happy for those who wanted (and didn't expect) Cloud to be in Smash Bros. Cloud Strife is an icon, I'll give that... but at least I can be happy for others and still having the stuff that I want. Can we agree on that? Bayonetta feels so good to play because she can combo like crazy with thing like dodge offset. yes she has moves that taunt(facing camera) at the end, but you need to manual do that. and those are her wordt moves. but it fits her nonchalant way of fighting angels. +Chase XJ Rayman is the only possible one out of all the ones you mentioned. Kratos, Ratchet and Clank, Jak, and Sly are Sony Playstation characters while Master Chief is Microsoft. Nintendo would never allow characters from competing platforms be in Smash.

I'm kinda surprised that Bayonetta came AFTER Cloud. Since Bayonetta is a "home" character and Cloud needs a shit ton of negociation with Square Enix(and Sony for the AC costume) to allow it.
