Its obviously far in the future, but considering the hints in the first game about other pantheons and now this game looking like it's going to be blow everything out of the water, I can only imagine how the story continues after this game. I personally think that Egypt will be the next pantheon. A few things that point to that, 1: the gow comic (cant remember the full name) took place or at least in part, in Egypt. 2: the tapestry you see going down into Tyrs vault shows Egyptians (and yes I know even the other ones amongst it). But 3: the only pantheon that was ever mentioned IN GAME, by Mimir of course, was the Egyptian pantheon when Atreus looks at the emerald scarab item. Also, the helmet Atreus was trying on was an Egyptian, probably pharaoh, helmet or hat. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but I could've sworn I heard that the devs did want to go to Egypt for 2018, but it was too close to Greece geographically and wanted it to be further away from Greece AKA his past.

It's because the State of Play had far better pacing and they didn't waste 20 mins of your time with a dozen indies, cloud versions of old games and dlc for already released games. 15 mins to show Fire Emblem, Octopath 2, Kirby Dreamland, Bayo 3, Pimkin 4 and Zelda would have been enough.

That has to be one of the best trailers I’ve ever seen in my life. I remember back when that epic Onimusha 3 trailer came out and I got super hyped because the trailer was so cool. Then that trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Then that trailer for God of War 3. I’m reliving those feelings again watching the trailer for GOW Ragnarok. It looks so good, and you can just tell the team is super happy with the game given all the gameplay they’ve been showing. The art direction, the soundtrack, the character designs, the combat, everything looks like a dream.

My interpretation of that scene is that him and Kratos have decided to start Ragnarok. Kratos saying "fate only binds you if you let it" and then Atreus sending the wolf to eat the sun is fulfilling the prophecy since Ragnarok starts once they catch the sun and the moon. And we know that from GoW 2018 Odin had already sent them on their chase so Atreus and Kratos must intercept them or something and be in the position to stop them from fulfilling the prophecy but decide against it.

I think this will have a bigger impact than Elden ring because of the story. We saw what happened in 2018 and this one is gonna take us for a ride with these characters that people are not gonna forget ever. I'm wondering why they are showing the battle with Thor pre-release...if he's supposed to be the big bad, this either is an early fight that culminates into something much more, like with The Stranger, or we wind up with Odin by the end. There's no way they are showing the final Thor battle here. But I do like the fact they went with classic as-written fat Thor. That's exactly how he should really look.

It's more likely intro battle with Thor, Kratos in most of the scene have a new bifrost more advanced than the old one, and when Kratos fight Thor Kratos have the old bifrost so yeah it's probably an intro fight

I think that was Odin who Atreus opened the door for and I think he's there to talk Kratos and Atreus out of fulfilling the Ragnarok cycle but the meeting goes sideways and Odin sicks Thor onto them and the battle gets so crazy even the world serpent gets involved and they end up destroying half of midgard until Thor is finally beaten back and must retreat for awhile. Idk what happens after that though.
