Captain/Miss Marvel was actually a really likable and well done character up until the past 10 years. All new all different marvel really shit the bed with her characterization and character arc. After that it was downhill since they kept building off of the new, shitty foundation that ANAD established. People really need to quit using the MCU as an excuse to hate her though. It's not the fault of the character that her actress was saying stupid shit or that the movie was so so.

So that makes it kinda hard to separate the issues with MCU Carol Danvers and nu-comics Carol Danvers. They're both awful in different ways, but those distinct forms of awfulness are inexorably tied together due to the marketing strategies and such.

They both went up in value nowadays because they went mostly unnoticed in their heyday. Max probably was one of the masses that never owned either game. To be honest, I am glad to see that from the description they described Donte as an alternate universe of Dante. Like, even they understood that nobody would take Donte seriously if he was confirmed as the real Dante in the reboot (like how the developers of DmC: DMC think). Firebrand's costume is a reference to the Eternal Gargoyle, the ultimate form you get on the New Game Plus version Demon's Crest. That is unlocked by getting all of the 6 crests. (Also, a funny reference to be in MVCI, because the Demon Crests are the same as the Infinity Stones, small stones of specific cosmic powers.)

SuperArppis i dont like how the characters are but it is definitely a solid game. My only real issues were some platforming sections making it too easy for you to fall off and that devil trigger sucks.

I don't care about my name Honestly, I'd say it's a bit of a toss up as both characters debut in only one game and don't posses as a lot of feats but both technically did do some pretty impressive feats within their respective universes. Both have quite very different fighting styles, while Nariko's is more refined and fierce, DmC Dante's is more stylish and posses more options. Nariko's skills and training are quite impressive compared to DmC Dante but his Superhuman capabilities could possibly keep up with her. Nariko's Goddess Form may give DmC Dante's Devil Trigger a run for his money though. All in all, I'd say it's close but ultimately through a lot more thorough research, we'd find a winner.

Awesome video & thoughts Max :) as a fan of Marvel if I may I'd like to give you my 2 cents on the ultimate costumes in terms of the comic book references. Iron Man the white suit looks as if it's representing the Superior Iron Man suit from the recent comic series. Hawkeye's costume looks like it's the from the Ultimate Marvel Universe and The Ultimates comic series. Thor's costume looks like it's the from the Ultimate Marvel Universe specifically the Ultimates series & the Ultimate Thor mini. To me personally, Captain Marvel's costume although just a costume actually looks more like a character skin for the character of Ms Marvel/Carol Danvers when she operated under that name back during the mid-2000's era of Marvel. Mafioso/gangster looking Hulk definitely looks like it's referencing the Peter David run on the character when he operated under the name of Joe Fixit and made the character setting him up as a morally ambiguous Las Vegas enforcer and tough guy. It also reminds me of the earliest Wolverine solo series stories by Chris Claremont from the mid-1980s when he operated in the country of Madripoor pseudonym of Patch and ran into Hulk in his Joe Fixit persona. Dr Strange's costume looks like it's referencing The Defenders series from Matt Fraction & Terry Dodson. Dormammu definitely looks like Dark Kahn from MK VS DCU which is unfortunate. Ghost Rider's costume looks like it could be a reference to the character of Carter Slade/The Phantom Rider who was the first iteration of the character of Ghost Rider during the 1970s. As a big fan of the original Devil May Cry games, I'm not the biggest fan of Ninja Theory's DMC or their interpretation of Dante as a character give me classic Capcom Dante over that any day of the week. Although Devil May Cry 2 was indeed a bad game and definitely a besmirchment upon the original Devil May Cry trilogy the costume here looks pretty awesome.

I think I'm in the same boat as Max about Donte.... The idea that they put him in makes me question why, and yet he looks damn impressive compared to the actual Dante (including that Devil Trigger which I admit does look pretty badass). Damn you Capcom for the mixed feelings! I hate the character and the story but the game was still ok!

Didn't really care for Nero to be fair. Every time I played as him I kept asking: "Ok, how many levels till I can play as Dante again?". He was like the Raiden of DMC4 (why play as the less interesting character when you have a cooler much more interesting character?). DMC4 was a disappointment after DMC3, a brilliant game with a surprisingly good story and great action. Good thing DmC was a positive surprise, even when I was ready to hate it... but all those positive reviews made me give it a go and I loved it.
