Freddy Voorhees MK9 and and MKX had very similar gameplay, MKX is just newer with more characters. But the costumes were pretty bleh. MK11 objectively is the best mortal Kombat in terms of design and costumes but the gameplay got dumbed down and gets boring after a while, it’s still fun to play like when friends come over tho.

I think they are some of the best costumes in this game. The whole nuclear winter Russia aesthetic sells them so well and they look so good in motion.

Options would be nice if you make an equal number of modest and sexual costumes so everyone can be happy imo. Though gore wise I believe you can only go so far with a M rating vs AO which many games MK as well have been told AO till you tone it down on the blood and gore. Sure they have a bad reputation as many are just porn games but done right you can tell stories that deep dive into issues like mental illness without being shock for shock sake. Imagine a day where you can get both the M rated version of CoD games and the AO version that has a deep dive story about how PTSD really is for those who go to war and return home damaged. Jmo but done right maybe we could come to a better understanding of these people. Could you see yourself playing a Silent Hill game that blood gut and themes much darker than what we see in M rated games? I know some new issues could arise with this as well but I believe if content is going to challenge the way one thinks about issues or for thouse who would prefer content that they disaprove of being left into M rated games then maybe it's time to rethink how we view AO games like Postal,Hatred, and one of my favorites Man Hunt. There is so little difference with the 3 of them Jason only adds a chain in his neck and the mask turns black on the other. Predator the same, mask changes to black, add a cannon or without a mask. Alien change the size of the head, the classic style, add the Tarkatan "spikes" in his head or add the Queen head. That's all, the costume doesn't change a lot like Triborg, Tremor or Leatherface, there is no much difference.

MKX has the worst Mileena's design. In MkX, they created absolutely opposite appearance of Mk9. They made Mileena asexaul. Mileena in Mk9 is primarily a mixture of idealized beauty and monster. These are 2 characteristic features of the character, without which she ceases to be unique. In Mkx, "Mileena" became short, with a anormal huge head, disheveled hair, short legs. She lost appetizing body forms. I like MKX it's a fun game but I don't like how they portrayed my favorite female kharacter.

I hope for MK11 Rate the Costume Max doesn't just review the main set, but all the unlockable alts and gear pieces. Doing litterally every single color would take forever, but just each differing model set for the outfits and gear would be doable, even if it needs to be split up a bit.

Ugh, how dare they? Liu Kang's primary costume is one of the best he's ever had. It's like a Shaolin version of a Lin Kuei costume, that is such a great idea and it was done perfectly. Kitana's outfit is meant to embody a Kunoichi Princess or Chinese Queen who's also aa deadly Kunoichi and you can tell they took alot of inspiration from ancient Chinese Queens/Empresses via her hair, jewelry, adornments etc. Her X kostume was literally FANtastic lol, along with the newcomer characters like Takeda, Kenshi, etc.
