The third piece is incredibly deep and beautiful, as far removed in spirit from an etude as can be. Reger, his music too often described as turgid or overblown, could just as easily create miracles like this. The Prelude and Fugue is also gorgeous. Many thanks for posting ! I'll have to to go study the Romanze now.
