Hi Jason, great analysis. My BMU are very similar to Johan. My second rep is more of a glide Kip and I use the small revers dip at top to lower momentum in the downward motion. However a big reason for the glide Kip is that myself and Johan are pushing our bodies away from the bar when starting from top. Check how tight your chest is to the bar compared to Johan. This around a lower arm in length are causing the extra “glide swing motion “ at the bottom.

Good eyes Anders! Yep... think of it as more of an up and down (with the around in the middle) movement... than a push away glide movement. It's almost as if I'm a pendulum in movement.

Thankyou jason!! Your the only athlete that is being transparent and breaking down movements for us!Any recommendations for accessory excercises to do on a daily or weekly to help with bmu or gymnastics movements?

Happy to help Jared!! I love this stuff!! For Bar Muscle Ups... honestly... big kipping ctb pull ups are very helpful. Kipping higher and higher on your chest. Not too many... Maybe a 5 min emom (5 reps per minute) a couple of times a week.

Hello. I have a question about the watch. How well have I noticed you are using the Fenix ​​6pro? Is it still worth buying? I've seen quite a few reviews on GPS and heart rate issues. What's your opinion?

Hey there. I've found it to be pretty consistent with my whoop that I also wear... It works for me... but honestly, if I could swing it, I'd be in the market for the new apple watch ultra.

Jason, when on the bar, do you normally wrap your thumbs over the top? Any particular reason why over the top instead of under (fill grip)?

Well... I generally go with my thumbs on top of the bar (known as suicide grip) because it allows me to keep a bit more of a false grip on the bar. It's not as safe, but I tend to feel like I have a bit more grip with my thumbs over. I'd always recommend wrapping your thumb for safety!

@@JasonGrubb I didn't know it was called suicide grip but I get it. I used to always use it. I wrap my thumbs mostly, especially on muscle ups. Now when my grip gives way, the thumb goes over the top.

hi jason,(just a quick thought) i think that if you do 7reps in 30sec for three times,you will have more gas in the tank to do more then 7 in the final 30sec.so more than 28 reps overall.Anyway,i will try it on monday..,
