Now that’s a dream road trip, lunch with Mike and then Burbank’s House of hobbies. Couldn’t ask for anything more.👍👍👏👏

I've always wondered why there wasn't a window in an airplane toilet, I mean who is going to look in at 30,000ft, but a great view out. Seems you're having a great time with new model shops to see and look around, say hi to Mike from all of us, have fun and model on

Hey Max, you're in my hood. Love Burbank's House of Hobbies.

Darn I missed you☹️. I live in Burbank and frequent all those spots you visited. The other great restaurant is The Tam O’Shanter, where Walt Disney would eat lunch at with his Imagineers (a ton on Disney memorable inside). A great neighborhood museum is the Gordon Howard Museum that is dedicated to the history of Burbank, and it had tons and tons of Lockheed artifacts and models and plane parts. Sadly it’s only open Sat & Sun 1-4.

; As you pass Warner Brothers, [2:19] proceeding south by west, you'll notice a big green hill on your left up Barham Road. My house used to be up on that hill. I built a lot of 1/72 planes in a room downstairs. Like a prop house in some goofy Tony Curtis movie, my house came crashing down the hill one very soggy Angelino monsoon season in '73. No one was hurt that I know of. . We'd moved out long ago, but my Dad lost his shirt on the deal. He wised up. We moved to Arizona. He studied real estate and prospered. I went into the military.

The triplex where we lived on N. Hollywood Way just south of Victory in the early fifties when my dad worked for Slick Airways, Flying Tiger Lines, and later Lockheed and Douglas, burned down as a result of the '87 or '94 earthquake. Sad to see but we were unceremoniously kicked out because my little brother was too noisy and the people in the middle unit complained.

I haven't even thought of that place in 40 years - and I was in Burbank in June - right across the street from the studio, at a car show in Carson Park!!!

My firsth thought when you showed the Warner Brothers water tower was whether the Animaniacs were going to jump out of it.

The model at 4:53 looks like a Nissan S30 Fairlady. I saw them buzzing down the highways of Japan in 1971. My 240Z was the American import version with left-hand drive, but sans the front mounted rear-view mirrors seen on all the cars in Japan back then.
