His girlfriend tries and she is as fashionable as they come. But Max makes a statement that he is there to do his job and that is racing. He gets paid to represent his sponsors and that is what he's doing. The sponsors love him. Max is a crisp white T shirt and skinny jeans guy and I remember him saying once that his smile should be enough to draw attention instead of the clothes he's wearing.

Well, the fact that all he has to do, is arrive to showcase as he walks straight to the paddock... then take them off, and earn probably 100 grand, or more for those fleeting minutes, is one of the "greatest" ways to earn a quick load of dosh, indeed. Not even full-time catwalk (male, or female) models earn that much to showcase designer clothes, for literally minutes. So, yeah, it's probably one of the "greatest" things he has going for him...being so marketable.
