Yeah I recently had to share this compilation to this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6rRnKGhbN-BaKs which claimed vince had only 16 gamewinners, which is an absurdly low guess, no one has ever had more clutch moments, especially from long distance - I can't find nearly as many Jordan examples, too bad vince didn't have enough great teammates to get him into those playoffs and finals, but as he did with the Mavericks, he proved it even late in his career, on the big stage he still performs.

I counted 22 lead-changing, game-winning clutch shots in this video. I excluded a few where VC's team is already ahead and he just put the final nail on the coffin. 22 game-winning clutch shots -- that's an average of 1 for every season he played. Vince Carter's got to be in the top 10 most clutch player of all time.
@yitansolid72032 жыл бұрын
It's not 22, the creator of the video surely put in a lot of shots where the other team scored on the next possession. He has put 5 shots where the team was ahead on the scoreboard. The most game winners in history is kobe with 24, followed by jordan with 22. Carter will have between 14 and 16.
@edelrosario51052 жыл бұрын
I counted lead changing shots bruh, not only game winning ones. Play it back and count with me. I've watched at least 10 of these games that he won with his clutch plays. I'm 40 and old enough to have seen these on cable TV. I don't remember Kobe having as many clutch plays as 24. Do you have videos to show for it?

Hey Max, you made my day once again.. like a lot of VC fans these days.. I'm feeling a bit frustrated seeing that fans+media nowdays only give him credit for the dunker he was forgetting about the other aspects of his game. that was a really good generation of players and Vince did get to be on 1st NBA team once or twice while being an all-star and a true inspiration all along, especially in the the first half + of his career (that actually suffered pretty bad injuries). On another prospect, i really wish we could see him play as a Robert Horry style bench player for a Ring candidate, playing with no expectations from him self except helping while needed. come to think of it - that last seconed shot with dallas at the playoffs is the most remembered buzzer beater of him, kind of compensating for the known missed one at the east finals vs the sixers. (exact senerio at the parallel half court).
@MaxaMillion7116 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. I can tell you from my perspective most fans and media of his peers say he’s a first ballot hall of famer, despite mainly focusing on his dunking. I do agree other parts of his game get ignored, especially his New Jersey years. Also he was all nba 2nd and 3rd, never 1st. But that’s why I want to make videos like this, to remind fans who didn’t watch every game like we did how good he was in other aspects than dunking. In year 21, we can zoom out and summarize his career. And while he never had the success that Robert horry had on title teams, VC spent the 2nd half of his career with Dallas and Memphis as a crucial bench player and leader, even one year being a legit contender for 6th man of the year. And VC gets tons of credit for “reinventing his game”, especially with all the Melo talk these days. So when VC gets into the HOF, all the negative talk won’t matter. And it will fun to show people my videos when they say he’s just a dunker 😎

@@MaxaMillion711 Vince listened to himself on what he envisions as a basketball player (leading, mentoring, expanding game, work ethic, teamwork, etc) and not what the fake pressures of the media want (rings, rings, and rings man!). I wish he had some better teams to get there, but at the end of the day Vince will be a lot happier looking back knowing he listened to himself and not someone else on what he should be doing, ring chasing, etc. Personally, it's inspiring to not let others dictate your life with similar societal pressures that mean little in the end.

Let's be real here - People always shows the game winners of Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, Magic and Bird - But Vince Carter, though he is not up there with those 5 in the 10 greatest players of all time, may actually be the most clutch Superstar in terms of efficiency. He is 63% in game winners below 24 seconds - all the 5 Greats I mentioned above is below 50% - and the fun fact is, it is not for lack of trying - Vince is 26 of 49 for buzzer beater attempts below 24 seconds.. The man is ice cold clutch!!! HE IS THE ONLY PLAYER WITH 5 Buzzer Beating 3 pointers. Wrap your mind around that. Not Curry, Not Miller, Not Bird, Not Kobe! Carter is probably the most clutch superstar to have ever played the game.
